^I totally have to agree with that, if a iPhone's dual core doesn't lag at 800mhz but a dual core Android does then that's just a EPIC FAIL.

Its not the CPU which is faster, its the iOS. Period

Its the 'optimizations' of iOS due to which 4S seems 'blazing fast'.

It changed somewhat in Honeycomb.
And from what i am seeing it ... its going to 'innovate' soon after ICS release.

Other than that ... Dual Core phones have JUST started to come out. Expect a little delay in "Dual Core Optimized Applications".

iPhone is complete utter bullshit that isn't even under your control.You might be a stupid cool burger boy but I ain't that I would buy this junk that I can't even modify to my liking.I rather choose Android over it any day whether I've to pay double for it and suffer lag.(or I could sacrifice on app count and choose a WP7 phone esp the Nokia's when they release)

Fortunately, even the default Kernel on the S2 is awesomely optimized. And on heavy usage I get 2 days battery time out of it. Overclocking this phone (which I'm never going to do BTW, because it doesn't need overclocking) would give me at least 1 day battery time.

No, it's the CPU that's faster. Plain and simple. It's the exact same chip that's used in iPad 2 and that tablet literally blows every other tablet/phone away in CPU/GPU benchmarks. Ofcourse having a light OS helps too. But even in synthetic benchmarks, nothing right now comes close to A5

4s clocked about 100MHz lower than iPad 2 which is 900MHz.

Some people prefer fancy lookin' lockscreens and snazzy desktops while others prefer smooth (albeit simple) UI and high-quality apps.

I wish the 4S was cheaper. I'm willing to give my Galaxy S and 10-15k above for an iPhone 4S :p But ofc can't get it for that price.

if u can get 2 days with your usage criteria, check how much u will get with an iphone...

its not about how much u score at quadrant, rather to find the perfect balance between the performance and battery life... at which apple wins hands down...

With 'normal/casual' usage, i would've accepted this.

But again ... its the iOS which does the trick.
On Android, the real culprit is Gingerbread. During Foryo days, i remember it vividly that my 1500mAh (Galaxy S) battery timings were 3 days with Average Usage, including WiFi and what not. IMMENSE problems started when i entered in Gingerbread Era.
For the sake of "performance" ... i compromised with Battery Timings.

With iPhone4 ... Galaxy S lasts about 1.5 hours less, while on Gingerbread.
Galaxy S2's battery timings are obviously superior to iPhone4 (mainly due to the SuperAMOLED Plus display, where only needed pixels remain active hence more lesser battery consumption if darker themes are used)
However, i cannot say anything about 4S since there isn't any Proper Review/Testing out for this device yet (with the device itself). But i am sure due to the Optimizations of iOS (as always), Battery Timings will be higher than any High-end Android device till date.

@abobo: I got into the same argument over at xda which resulted in misinformed tarts throwing smartass comments at me. Why should I trust the Internet reviews when I have tested the battery time first hand. Let me break it down for you. By 2 days battery time:

WiFi - 3-4 hours (active usage)
Games - 2-3 hours (Demanding games such as Riptide GP, Sprinkle etc.)
Camera - Moderate usage
Videos - 1-2 hour (For watching videos)
Messaging - Almost all the time
Calls - 1 hour (Yes, I don't make or receive too many calls)

I'm not claiming that GB has good battery timings, just talking about how SGS2's well-optimized kernel, SAMOLED Plus display, and the big 1650 mAh battery helps in giving a very good battery life on the S II.
