GFX GTX 450 details are added in the first post its 1024mb DDR5 version consume about 106watt and 8.8a from +12v rails so in terms of power its power consumption is equal with 9800gt

^ 7800gs in agp consume about 75watt
and 6600gt consume less then 60watt
so a bulk psu can handle 6600gt very easily 7800gt consume little more power but a psu with atleast 16a is enough for it

^ 17 is better for draw the total output power you have to multiply the 12 with the number of a on the psu
so if a power supply has 10a on +12v rail (as processor and gpu get there power from +12v rail ) it means this power supply can draw 120watt of power whereas some chines power supplies shows wrong rating or total power so think before buying and getting a better psu is recommended for future too

help me out i got a msi cyclone gtx 460 on a maximus 3 formula mobo wid i3 nd 2 gb ram i got a zoostorm 500 watt branded psu wid 18a rating will my setup work fine on it?

^ brother your psu have 2 rails for +12v and support a total 336 watt output power but i don't recommend you using gtx460 cyclone with this pc although its enough for the system specs you mentioned , your psu is enough but getting a psu that should have more then 30a is recommended for you

yar u didnt understand... i use p.s for gaming... thats for my brother who want to make a gaming pc.. thats y i dnt want to spend much on that as it will be his first.. thats y trying to make it in as low money as possible... dnt want to spend more that 3k..i already bought that psu in 1k

What are his pc Specs, Secondly if you add 2k to that budget then you can easily get a used 9600 gso which is quite better, and provides good yet a cheap solution. And btw you can get a pc with a 9600 gso in abt 25k.

its p4 2.6 n 1gb ram...board is local..but anyway a guy is selling a 6600gt..m gonna buy that its enough for him
