Travern Grill
Tried Travern Grill during Ramadan.
I didnt go for the iftar buffer, but i went there for dinner around 10 pm.
Food quality and quantity was good. I ordered the Moroccon Chicken steak. It was spicy and juicy, liked it very much.
Prices are bit high though, chicken steaks vary from 820 to 890 approx. Quantity was two pieces of chicken steaks (quantity is almost similar in all restaurants that serve steaks)
I might try again cause of the high cost.
P.S their burgers are huge and are well priced around PKR 550 approx. Might give them a try once
TIP: Dont buy the drinks. they start from PKR: 300/-
Sizzlers
I also tried Sizzlers before Ramadan and their menu is almost very identical to the rosters. Except only they are quite cheaper as compared to other restaurants.
Chicken steaks starts from 685~720 approx as far as i remember. The taste was good as well and quantity is almost similar to travern grill.
In appetizers i ordered mozarella sticks. there were 4 of them and tasted quite good. Although these were expensive and fills your stomach making it hard to finish the main course.
Will definitely try it again
Tip: Dont get the drinks or starters, they are expensive
Nandos
Tried their Special Chicken espetada and their legendary peri peri chicken
Highly overpriced food. A quarter chicken is never sufficient for a single person. I ordered only half chicken for myself (Without sidelines) .
Sidelines are hell more expensive and are not worth it.
Taste wise, both the peri peri chicken and special chicken espetada tasted almost same. Peri peri chicken is quite over rated and over priced as well.
Nothing special in taste at Nandos.
Will not go again.
TIP: its worth a try. dont get the sidelines or drinks. Just half chicken is enough for a person.
Ramada
Tried their iftar dinner buffet-2016 on the 6th day of Ramadan. Price wise it was expensive for an individual (1800~1900/head). However, considering its a 4 star hotel. The prices are good.
Buffet is amazing.
Iftar had rolls, samosas, pizzas, friend sand wiches and other conventional items of iftar
Dinner had too many BBQ options. Fried fish was amazing, deserts were just OK. Fried Icecream was excellent
For Buffet lovers, Yes its a recommended place
TIP: Eat low on iftari and high on dinner
Marriot
Was invited as a guest to Nadia's in Marriot for iftar dinner buffer.
Dont know the price as i was a guest there.
Quality was good. But menu was very limited. Quite few options to choose from. BBQ dishes were limited as well.
Will not visit again.
Very few options considering its a buffet of 4 star hotel
TIP: Just dont go there
Kolachi
We organized our company iftar dinner buffet there for approx 300 persons. Price is good (~1800/person)
Iftar was great ( exceptional fried fish and fried zinger chicken and saucy wings)
Dinner was even better. Exceptional taste of paneer chicken, BBQ items and everything was amazing.
Deserts were quite limited. However, the dinner gets offset by the good dinner and iftar items
TIP: Must try once, if you can go there and pay that much
