Playstation head honcho Shu Yoshida says Sony deliberately held back exclusive reveals at E3. Probably saving them for TGS or PSX. Last year's PSX was as big as Sony's E3 conference so it makes sense.

“There are things we have held [back],” Yoshida laughed. “We chose not to show those at E3 2017, but there will be some more news coming out from our teams later this year. No question.”

yes i can see that it was a rhetorical question. I would never pre order this many things at once and I prefer physical because I usually rake up a lot of Gamestop credit from buying/trading/reselling games which lets me get huge discounts. For reference, I only paid $5 out of my own pocket for Persona 5. I also pre ordered Yakuza Kiwami purely on my trade credit, no cost to me at all.

In addition, since I already preordered the UC4 deluxe edition during one of last year's "get $15 back" offers, I technically got an almost free copy of Lost Legacy ($80 - $15 = $65). You, on the other hand, will have to pay $40 or trade in a game to Gamestop in order to get it. So, yeah

Seriously, though, I've literally been doing this for years now. I time all my PSN purchases during Feb, June, and October, since that's when they offer the deal. Nothing beats getting a $15 discount on brand new titles + preorder bonuses. Can't remember the last time I bought a physical copy for a game. It's been ages. Digital is just so much more convenient.

well i was able to experience the last Xenoblade at full HD,8x MSAA, hi-res textures and what not

hopefully by the time this game comes to rest of the world, there is a way for me to enjoy it at UHD resolutions :2cool:

If you're implying that you'll see a Switch emulator near Xenoblade 2's launch, it's not gonna happen

For a console to be emulated, its own security needs to have been exploited. Plus, the reason CEMU developed so fast was because the Wii U hardware was architecturally based on the Wii. Not the case with the Switch. It'll take several years.

Yup, PS Plus subs are included in the offer. They're also offering a $10 discount on a 1 year subscription.

It's the spiritual successor to Resogun. If you like fast-paced side-scrolling shooters, you'll probably enjoy it.

The prices have gone back upto 500$ for the technology but the resulting technology doesnt offer a generational leap as it did back in the ps2 to ps3 days!
In short, dont expect a ps5 anytime soon :/

Well. The PS3/36 gen lasted a good 10 years, we're only 4 years into this generation. The point of the mid-gen refresh consoles was to extend the generation without having the billions of dollars of R&D for a completely new generation.

Well. The PS3/36 gen lasted a good 10 years, we're only 4 years into this generation. The point of the mid-gen refresh consoles was to extend the generation without having the billions of dollars of R&D for a completely new generation.

The same games are supposed to work across both iterations. It doesn't exactly extend the generation. You just have to pay much earlier for incremental upgrades now, a slowly progressing PC if you will.
