some people say they are providing connect net services but actually they are taking services from third party providers who have servers running and their bandwidth provider is connect for eg wancom. dont apply in this scenerio. i am on wancom and browsing, downloading sucks when i was direct using connect services things were better speeds were 60 70 percent efficient like on 4mbps i got 270 to 300 kbps in peak hours. at night after 3 or 4 am till 9 or 10 am it was 450 to 500 kbps.

I left it over a year ago because of the torrent issue alone. Random sites were also banned like Target.com :/

It is simply an extremely shit service in certain areas of Karachi, while in other areas it works fine. Still this torrent issue is horrible for someone who has to download specialized softwares which aren't available on their sharing site.

I already have PTCL DSL but i wanted a higher speed connection.
Got Char G, but the download limit cap was too low (35Gb only)
Then got the connect internet 4mbps
Yes i am getting torrent downloading of max 150kbps
Rest all browsing, etc is fine.
Tried PS4 multiplayer today on a free game HAWKEN. worked fine for half hour and then net got some slow and it disconnected. I think the service justifies its price.

Is there any solution for torrents on Connect ? It takes hours to download an HD movie.

They throttle torrents except after midnight i.e around 3 AM. I get +300 kb/s on 2 MB connection at this time of the night till I dont know when cuz I'm asleep by then. So best bet is to download at night when they are not throttling torrents.

Han after 3 a.m I get around 800-900 kb/s on my 4mb connection till 12 p.m , us k lye bh 4,5 br router restart krna parta ha phir ja k ye speed milti ha, wrna after 3 a.m I normally gets 300kb/s. i know it sounds strange but that is how it is.

hi,
i recently installed a 10mbps package from connect. i usually get around 750-1000 kbps on idm downloads 250-300kbps on upload, and 600-800 on normal torrents. Whether it is 6 am in the morning or 6pm in the evening, the speed remains constant through the day, and on dodear torrents i may get upto 3Mb/s. The guy said that we usually give this connection in corporate sector so you wont face any downtime and speed will remain constant. i am paying 3500 pkr per month, so i would like to have your opinion if this connection is really worth 3500 pkr? (previously i was using ptcl 4mbps which had a lot of downtime, throttling issues and upload was usually around 40kbps which was a real pain.)

connect services are generally better than others in my area (gulistan e johar) with almost no downtime (im using connect red)...in my experience if i use a vpn then i can avoid throttling..also their ping times are very good for online gaming, sometimes there are some hardware limitations such as crappy switches used by local service providers which cause unnecessary downtime/ trouble but other than that im very satisfied with connect.

    I have a PS5 but I am not satisfied with the experience. I am currently saving for a 4080 64 GB rig soon. Bit will wait for Pro if performance improves. This gen has been so bad I don't plan on buying consoles anymore for AAA gaming.
