Community not as Active as Before

Finally i am back here after years. But i feel like that its not as active as it used be. Like in old times every other posts used to be on fire.

people usually use it for marketplace now
I am an old member and i can't find time to visit pg, heck even for games anymore. Job, family etc all adds up to that.

its because this place has been turned into a WTS WTS WTSfest.
No one discusses or posts anything about the recent tech development.
consoles have their own sections but console news is far and few in between.
Not many people post anything about their pc builds. no component specific threads. for example gtx 1070, r9 480 specific threads for example. This is how users start comparisons and this is how discussions happen.
Everyone is piling up on the internet (PTCL thread for example) threads because they compare and solve problems together.
Eventually the WTS threads are gonna stop popping up as well.

Yes that's what i was thinking, old generation is busy in life and this new generation is not a forum type

I was expecting PG to be blowing up with news and discussion about yesterdays reveals... RDR2 and Nintendo Switch. I log in just to see what others have to say and boom there's nothing more than an empty thread. If the old gang was still here we'd be all like hyped up about the announcements and gaming section would be loaded with over 100 visitors.

Times have changed I believe so, lot of people saying all the old guys left hence no new discussions can be seen..back in the old days people did leave as well but others covered their place really well, becoming an underground member, SV or a MOD was what every member dreamt of. The previous team was enthusiastic about the gaming scene and gave their best efforts.

Its a bit easy to say that new ones should have taken charge but to put the entire blame on the members would be unjustified, evolution is what PG didn't keep up with, yes with lack of funding you can't get much ..now can you? Situation went so bad once that we had to bail PG out from crisis from our own pockets. Its not entirely possibly for one single to handle. But this is a topic for another debate.

Lets come back to evolution, as the old team went MIA there were none left to carry out the strategic planning in terms of evolution...with the rapidly changing trends of the internet PG hasn't moved out of its 2000s persona (not talking technically) If PG (PAKGAMERS) needs to exist and more importantly expand there needs to be a new way to keep the community active. Its not like people don't have the time or passion anymore (TBH I am not sure about the latter statement myself but judging from my online gaming experience I have a bit of hope), people do still discuss and play games its kinda astonishing to hear from online pakistani gamers that they don't know about PG.

PG needs to evolve, comparisons with forums like NeoGaf can be marked as NULL and VOID as they have a huge target audience from all parts of the world.

PakGamers' business model is not feasable. It needs major reforms to be "IN" again.
