My brother told me that many people use it as an alternative to thermal paste but yeah it's a risk to take. Better buy a thermal paste. But if you want to take a risk go ahead. :p

instead of ruining your precious hardware products by applying this cheap toothpaste

why don't you try something more subtle

i would recommend not to spend little more than just 1 Rupee

buy your self a Center Fresh Chewing gum And

Just directly paste to on Top Of It

It has International Menthol Which will Cool everything

Nice One reaper!

Dude you can use toothpaste with your Graphic card or even with Processor.I already did that and it work like Charm.Tooth paste might get finished within a month or may be earlier Depending on Usage,You have to keep Monitoring your Temperature Via Gadget.

Make Sure dont apply a lot of Paste as it will Cuz the Blockage in Cooling.Try to Search Google as well ,you will find couple of good Solutions with Paste.

We have a "Hardware Zone" specifically dedicated for queries like these.

YES, Tooth paste can be used inplace of Thermal Paste. But consider it a Temporary Solution, and should never be used for prolonged period. (Say, >2-3 days).

Toothpaste can get frozen/stuck on the CPU's surface and it can be nearly impossible (at times) to remove it.

You can get the Intel's Original Thermal Paste for as low as Rs.200. The Quantity in ONE Syringe can last for 3-4 applications easily.

STAY AWAY from those chinese 50-60 Rupees walay Thermal Pastes. They are good for nothing and are a Terrible Waste of money.

Yes, toothpaste can be used, I did so on my old core 2 duo E 6750 for about 2 years and even overclocked it abit. Worked like a charm.. But i must say after few months of use, it dries up, It might still keep the processor in contact with heatsink but its pretty hard to scrap off the dried paste from the processor surface... I changed my toothpaste yearly...

If you are up for an experiment,,, then best of luck.!!!

I DID use toothpaste on my proc (2.8HT which were alot hotter) and it didn't bother me.

So instead of trolling, help someone. If you haven't experienced it, then stop bullshitting around please.
