This game is the most beautiful looking game, art wise, that i have played this year. The city looks so alive and beautiful that words can't describe the beauty. Who cares for reality when even art can look so beautiful

Even more beautiful than Ni no Kuni?

Also, is this game related in any way to the previous Bioshock games? I haven't played them yet. And do those two games still hold up? Gameplay wise? Thanks.

Except for the hacking in the first one which can get a little irritating in the later stages of the game, the game is practically flawless with great graphics (on the PC version at least), the story, voice acting, environments, gunplay, atmosphere. It's just terrific and the second game, while it doesn't have as good as a story as the first one, the gameplay is better. If you haven't played them, I HIGHLY recommend playing them before bioshock infinite. (BTW, at least to my knowledge, the first two games aren't connected to Bioshock: Infinite. It's set in two completely different locations.)

IMO Bioshock 1 is one of the best scripted FPS games ever. The atmosphere in-game, voice acting, and the presentation in that game are spot-on. The story is top-notch. I consider Bioshock 1 and Half Life 2 among the best FPS games I ever played.

It is a fact. Bioshock 1 is the greatest ever.

Ni No Kuni is anime brought to life. It is in a league of its own. The animation is from Studio Ghibli, Japanese animation giants, so it is on a whole different level. IMO, we can't compare both games.

Bioshock Infinite is a great looking game on PS3, but it will be just on a whole different level on PC with all the additions of post process effects. Rest assured, the art style was beautiful and when you will see the city for the first time, you will be like "WOW" :p

You can play Bioshock Infinite before previous games. As far as i know, they aren't linked and Infinte has its own story.

I thought Crysis was the best FPS you ever played. :p Thanks I think I will play those two first.

C1 also counts among the best FPS games I've played. But that game is a lot different compared to HL2 and Bioshock. The story was very weak. But an amazing open world, gameplay, weapon customization, suit powers, and of course, graphics bring C1 into the list.

Oh my god, swinging around on Skyline = Mind Blown!

No frame rate issues on PS3 so far. There is slight tearing which shows that adaptive Vsync is involved.

The city is fully explorable. Every nook and cranny can be search to find secrets/hidden extras, of which there are plenty. Gameplay wise, the shooting might not be the best part but the abilities make it ton of fun along with the melee moves.

I tried unlocking the frame rate and the game felt like it was running on Turbo, lol. But of course, there was loads of tearing with unlocked frame rate. I don't have any issues with locked since the frame rate is pretty steady and there is hardly any stuttering.

The only minor qualm is some low resolution textures along with low quality effects at some place and since it is a pretty big city with impressive draw distance, it means that with no powerful AA like on PC, we can notice jaggies in the distance. Regardless, it is certainly a looker and as a multiplatform title on PS3, it has pretty neat IQ and solid performance level.

P.S The city is not fully explorable without any loading. There are large open areas that are linked with each other through a door and upon entering them, we do see a loading screen so it is not seamless full world exploration in a sense but it gets the job done.

Okay, wait, there is ABSOLUTELY NO relation to Bioshock 1 and 2? No references or anything?

I haven't played Bioshock 1 and 2. But I might pick this up ASAP. I just want to ensure that I wont be missing out on anything at all if I play this first.

@Necrokiller: You were right. The game seems to be a mix of med/low on consoles. But one positive thing is the solid performance. No stuttering for me or low fps during gun fights, or riding around in Skyline and i am playing with locked frame rate :)

This game will be a real beauty on PC. The low res textures are hardly noticeable unless you search every nook and cranny like me.

My only qualm so far is with the shooting. Somehow, i don't find it satisfying compared to other games.

Also a guy said that this game is hard. It is not the case, lol. The difficulty is balanced on normal and since we have infinite continues, we can keep replaying. No loading screen in our face on retrying, which is pretty cool feature IMO.

P.S The game is leaked
Spoiler: show
only on PS3 so far :umad:

Thats kinds of a let down. It was never Bioshock's strongest aspect but I was hoping they'd improve it.

This game will be a real beauty on PC.
That it will be. I mean, with art as beautiful as this, technical details and raw power are just as important.

@DarkLordMalik : Do take a screenshot of this part if you can.

It did have a reference to original Bioshock. tho you wont need to play the first 2 to understand the storyline.

IGN Review - 9.5 (PC), 9.4 (PS3), 9.4 (X360)

Going in, I had to question whether Infinite could live up to the BioShock name after having discarded its signature world of Rapture, with its Big Daddies and Little Sisters and warring philosophies, and starting from scratch. On the way out, I'm forced to seriously question which is the better game. In total, BioShock Infinite is a brilliant shooter that nudges the entire genre forward with innovations in both storytelling and gameplay. It trips over itself in a couple of spots, but not in any way that should keep you from embracing it with your utmost enthusiasm.

BTW, i started Ghost of Tsushima, and it got me hooked within the first couple of minutes. I already know It's gonna be a memorable experience. This is how you make a proper Samurai game. Not that SJW game Ubisoft is making.

That's still higher than it's total play length. A 5 hour campaign for a $50 game is downright scammy.

The cross gen era really made people think 60fps would be a new standard lol

I have a PS5 but I am not satisfied with the experience. I am currently saving for a 4080 64 GB rig soon. Bit will wait for Pro if performance improves. This gen has been so bad I don't plan on buying consoles anymore for AAA gaming.

Both PS and Xbox have been a flop this gen as they can barely maintain 30 fps in a lot of AAA games th.

As per WCCF Tech review, Xbox Series X doesn't even maintain a consistent FPS and sometimes drops into the mid-20fps range. That's unacceptable, tbh.

Score 1 for game pass. I wouldn't pay full price for this at retail either.

PC Gamer score of 58/100 for Hellblade 2??? Is it really worse than Gollum that was 64/100? Microsoft games can't even come close to high scores of Sony exclusives apparently.
