True that.. I was also playing with Stick, and you must have noticed a minor difference in my gameplay too, it took me pretty long time to get used to. You will have to be patient with it.. You'll lose many matches like i did. But keep practicing, its better to play with ;-)

Anyway i got deso's fight stick, Thank you Amaga.Played a couple of matches with Asad and Ghalib Flash (aka Saad) playing on stick is alot of fun but your skill level drops to zero it's like starting a new game all of your save data has been lost and trophies reset. I have Amir bhai to teach me though lets see how it goes i hope i don't loose my temper and shift to controller.

I'm glad you are loving it bro. Yeah it will take some time to get used to the arcade stick but you will be able to learn new techniques like p linking, double tapping, etc. Take good care of my baby, its in your hands now .

I know Muaz is gonna comment on my post as always but dude it has to be written in such a way so bear with me on this one lols

So i managed to convince one more player to shift to the stick , actually it did not take that much convincing you were already in the Frame Trap lols. well first of all it does not bring your game down to dead level but you will have execution problems initially but gradually you will notice your combos being spot on. so Patience is the key:
Some people might differ with my methods but here is a list of things you MUSt do now

The first most important thing for you must be the grip , use any grip you want as long as its comfortable and which is reliable on both sides i.e player 1 or player 2.
Secondly the most common thing people do ahem like i did , is rush into big ass combos , DO NOT TRY em just now keep em short, simple and precise.(BNB for the win)
Thirdly you might have problems while blocking cross ups or simple normals so u have to work on your blocking , keeping the DB position on both sides during landing combos is advisable ( why i am saying this will be revealed in time). for now you dont know op selects, p linking, double taping, pianoing etc just concentrate on your basics, and dont break the stick

Keep playing for 2-3 weeks , an hour daily in practice mode or with someone and you will notice the improvement warna paisay wapis

@ Amir bhai: lol @ frame traps =p i'm staying to my basics right now i have a trouble blocking my opponent moves but i did able to win some matches, maybe Asad was really humble and he thought i was using turbo. I'm giving 1 hour practice daily, regarding the buttons should i set them to default? My last config set on custom isn't working out.
This might sound stupid but dashing on stick has been a bit difficult for me.

Dashing on the stick is anything but difficult. You have a 4-way gate right? Shouldn't be hard at all.

And congrats on the arcade stick. Raise hell bhallu.

Well the Button layout on the Fight Stick is how it is in japan , which is a bit weird but with time your button mapping will improve. I am sure your having trouble mapping the buttons while playing and sometimes you might have to lean your head a lil low to see where the buttons are. This is not a big problem and it will ease away in a week or so dont worry. Or you can switch to American Style by spacing the Lp,mp,hp from the second button on the top and lk,mk,hk from the second button below. That means your first buttons which are lp and lk in your custom setting can either be used as three punches or three kicks or they can be configured to no function at all

I personally like the jap style but if after a week or so you think its not working out at all for you try the americey style , experimenting on the TE is always good , gives you a broader perspective of how efficiently you can use the Fight Stick. As for me i use the Custom settings.

Dashing can be a bit tricky cos you have always used your thumb for dashing back or forward on the controller, if you can give me hint of what kind of grip your using i can guide you how to dash with that grip.

As for me i use the fight Stick between the pinky grip . If i am on the player 1 side i use my middle and index finger to dash forward similarly i use my thumb to do a back dash.

Gates have nothing to do with dashing they are only useful in how easily you can pull out those specials/cancels/ultras etc. For dashing its all in the wrist or the fingers

Riyadh = 94ms

ping was never a problem with you, its the jitter..

a quick question: how do i choose a characters 2nd costume. I am not talking about the DLC or the 10 colours of the same costume. If i dont have the dlc then the icon appears on the loading screen telling me that the opponent is using a dlc costume. But then there are other costume's which i can see while playing, but i dont know how to choose them from the character select menu. I am thinking of that fancy akuma's Japanese karate suit.

You need to have The Dlc for that character in order to use it. But if your playing with someone you can see his DLC 1 costume packs whereas others are not visible to you and it will show you the default costume. In order to use Costumes you need to download their costume packs from ps store if your on psn or Xbox live if your using a xbox 360.

Riddle me this how can a move of cody which has frame advantage on hit 6 can combo into a move which has a start up frame of 7 frames.

since your playing with cody try his close Standing Hp Linked into Crouching HP cancelled into jet upper ohh i mean criminal upper. It freaking combos but how since the standing Hps frame adv on hit is 6 and the courching Hp startup is 7..EIther the Frame Data Chart is wrong but how can it be its the same on both shoryken and eventhubs.

Am i missing something here..

Are you sure? i googled daigo and i couldnt find any news on that. I watched him at evo 2011, even tho he didnt win he impressed me alot. He is the reason i started playing sf4. No homo....... or maybe little

Thanks for the reply. too be honest i didnt understand what you meant but its alright. I know i dont have the dlc but i still see people playing with akuma's 2nd costume but i cant choose it in the character select menu. maybe its from ssf4 =/
