In MP the Queen has an Inject Larva ability u use to spawn 4 larva (in addition to the 3 produced by hatchery)
The CD is 40 sec and its damn hard to keep track of it specially if u have multiple hatcheries with a Queen at each one

There will be compatibility issues with Ram aswell
Xeon may be cheap but its motherboards are quite expensive and hence not worth the investment
I suggest u get Core i5 and dont get into much hassle
