Although Inferno himself has responded quite adequately, I'll add to it from a
moderators perspective nonetheless.
first discussions about unlocking MiFi devices was banned
I don't know what logic there is behind the first rule.
You know, there's always a reason behind the rules and regulations. Behind the banning of certain discussions. First and foremost, we, at PakGamers, DO NOT promote illegal activities. Those discussions were outright illegal and against the rules.
Secondly, I don't know if you're aware, but posting your IMEI's like this poses a great deal of risk to you yourself. We're only looking out for our community. We don't want our people getting into trouble due to naivety/lack of information.
Again, we don't get
fun out of creating rules. We don't do it to tease the members.
and now u cant sell digital items such as psn codes, games etc without getting permission from Jshak for which no justification was given.
Alveaenerle has summed it up pretty much perfectly.
But I can understand the digital keys' rule. There are a lot of people who commit digital keys scams. Purchase a bunch of keys through credit card> sell aforementioned keys> call your bank and get the payment revoked/do a chargeback> profit; the buyers get screwed in this scenario because once the payment gets declined, the keys also get revoked. Not to mention there's no real proof of ownership with the sale of keys; the seller can just up and run after receiving the money.
Again, we don't
enjoy putting you guys through additional security. But, you'd be surprised as to how high the fraud rate is with online purchases and digital keys.
Even in the case of entire Origin accounts being sold, sometimes the account sellers simply use the security question etc to change the passwords and recover the account after selling. Turning off their cell-phones, and, selling the account on to another victim.
All this HAS happened in the past and then the victims come crying to us asking for help. What can we do in such cases?
seems like pakgamers management is becoming more and more controlling.
which is quite sad.
Hmmm.. So PakGamers Management becoming more controlling vs PakGamers becoming a fraudulent hub like some other popular trading websites in Pakistan. Which one of the two would you pick?

Same situation for me the greedy mods are not allow me to post any selling thread here on pakgmers because of thier useless thinking that i am diong some real business here and selling bulk items and they force me to buy premium service which cost alot for me there are lots of pg member whos selling lots of computer items but mods closed thier eyes on him
Plz dont banned me
Sir, your case is different. It's typical of people to tell one sided stories.
If I recall correctly, you put for sale about 18 or 19 different GPUs in a span of 3 months or so. We promote trading between items of personal use. For business quantities, quantities that cannot be justified as daily use, the sellers are required to purchase Premium stores.
As for members who sell lots of computer items, myself, and my fellow moderators DO look out at such thread creators. I've personally deleted dozens of such threads. However, we are humans. Sometimes we miss threads and people doing bulk selling under disguise of regular membership. In those cases, we must be assisted. Report such people to the moderators and we will have a look at their cases.
Rest assured, no one gets 'special treatment' or 'biased treatment'. The moderators do not have anything against ANY member.
The 'greedy moderators' do not get paid a penny out of the premium membership. The Premium fee's help to run these forums. So, why would I, or any other moderator, want to delete your threads just for 'greed'. We do this voluntarily and not for money, you know.

As an ending note, I'd just like to say again that all these rules and implementations of them is what makes PakGamers the community it is. Most people come here to trade because of the 'trustworthiness' and 'far less scam than the other places'. Why is it this way? Why is this community trustworthy? The answer is simple. It's the rules. It's our job to keep control lest scam and fraud prevails.
