WTF! 492 Ufone Services!!

I'm getting the same msg "thanks for using ufone info services" from 492 these days.. It deducts like Rs.1+tax from my balance daily without my consent I never activated that service as I don't know what this service is all about.

Any ufone customer is having the same problem?

Just call them. They will ask NIC number, name of customer, and this service will be deactivated. You'll receive SMS afterward and then might be a call from Ufone after 1 or 2 days.

It's happening to many customers now a days and this service get activated automatically whenever you registered on their website or use any value added service from Ufone FunKit menu.
It's my personal experience. I had this problem and got fixed within 6 hours.

i was getting this, not daily, but often. I got them deactivated, went to the service center got the connection transferred to my name and got the services deactivated

In any case you've registered an account on Ufone's website, THAT might be the cause because Info Services are mostly activated automatically When you register a new account at Ufone's official site.

And another facepalm that you didn't call THEIR Customer Support

I already went to their customer support centre few months back, they deactivated that services and told me that I have activated u-tune but I never activated u-tune. So the problem solved at that time. Now again I'm getting these stupid msgs some time daily, some time alternate days, some time weekly.

im a ufone user too but never experienced this wierd problem.

and Noman if the problem is persistant then change ur "sim"- a new sim

Same prob here. I get teh same msg almost every day. Although Im quite sure Im not using any infoservices or anything.. Will need to speak with the helpline.

it's a pity so less people know about this, check the dabba of your phone...report an FIR with the IMEI, if your sim was in name of someone, get hold of that person's NIC and get it blocked

this very serious because you don't know if that phone/sim is gonna be used to deliver threats

Thanks for the information. BTW, this was ufone fault that they didn't did my SIM on my name. When I purchased a SIM from ufone service centre few years back, I had submitted form with my NIC copy, they accepted and give me that new SIM by telling me that my SIM will be on my name soon and now when I asked them to block my SIM, they r now telling that SIM can't be blocked since it is not on my name. WTF!

you should've asked if it was on someone else's name, otherwise use the copy of the form you filled and take it to ufone's office and in the process kick their ass
