Asslamu Alaikum, I would like to share an awful experience I had twice with Foodpanda in case you plan to use your debit / credit card online. Last year I placed an order on Foodpanda and used my card to pay online, however they sent me a message saying the restaurant has cancelled your order and your funds will be refunded back into your account, a few days and then weeks passed and it didn't happen. Upon contacting Foodpanda they gave me an screenshot which represented nothing but an authorization code that they said I should tell my bank? What? Never heard that kind of a refund before since I also run a business. Anyway, when I gave it to my bank they told me that they have no idea what I'm talking about and there has been no refunds from Foodpanda. That's that, I kissed my money good bye.
2 weeks ago when I came back from abroad I thought I'd order something and thought what's the worst that could happen, guess what? The worst happened and the restaurant cancelled it, a different restaurant this time and I again heard the same thing from Foodpanda that I'll get my funds back in 5 days, it has been almost two weeks since and I still haven't gotten my money back. Again, they provided me with a similar authoriziation code like last time and again my bank told me that there has been no refunds into my account. On top of everything else, they have a tendency to just ignore people.
Never in my entire life I have been asked to contact MY bank for a refund that someone else is responsible for. Here are some screenshots of their epic customer service to my problem:
If it was a one time occurance I would say probably a mistake or human error but now I only wonder how many others have also lost their money just like that?
