My cousin sent me a bunch of PC thriller games from America, one of them was a game called 'The Moment of Silence' I decided to try it out,but the installer kept getting stuck before it prompted me to insert the second disk (the game's on 4 CD-R disks). I decided to create a virtual image file by using alcohol 120% and then mounted it. But then when i ran the installer it gave me the error 'Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access them.' Then,i tried to copy the contents from the disk to my hard drive, but it kept giving the same error. I HATE THIS!!!!!!!!!

P.S all the other games work, and I've been running the program as the administrator the whole time. So if someone could tell me how to fix this,I'd appreciate it.

:crying:

when u run installer from the first cd and then after some time it will ask u for new disk just insert the disk and give it a path of that files which it need

and check whether the files are in winrar parts shape then u have to copy all the disk in the folder and exract all the files in a single folder and then run the installer

U could try making images of all 4 cds again. Sometimes file corruption causes these problems. There might even be an infection in the cd or your av might me be detecting the setup as a false positive because of some suspicious action it made. Happened to me once.

You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
