can u help me out in this issue actually what i have available here in islamabad are 2 gpu brands EVGA AND ASUS FOR a gtx 460 model

evga = 22 250
asus = 26,000

also evga has more core clock speed i.e 763 in comaprison to asus 675 but i wonder why asus card is 4k more expensive than evga . though asus is a gamers choice we all know thats for sure

Dont go for Asus. Its not worth the extra money. MSI GTX460 Cyclone is also a good option. Few ppl have this card here on PG including myself. And everyone is happy Runs pretty cool too. It can be had for like 23-24k.

just remember one thing .... you have to sell it afterwards and asus is going to kill you ... we are in habit of giving offers in lowest possible new available card. like when you are going to sell it nobody will bother if its asus or evga or they are expensive (no doubt there are some pagals like us) but every aqalmand out there will tell you that new one is available for 18500 so calculate your self where you are going to fall. its my bitter experience so ... agay aap ke marzi

Avoid ASUS. You are paying a lot more just for the brand in its case.

eVGA is much better option. You get a factory overclocked and custom cooled card at cheaper price. You also get more in the package.

However, you can save more money by going for Sparkle GTX 460 standard @ 18.5k from iamextreme.net.

It is a very good option, if you want to get a high quality factory overclocked and custom cooled card at a reasonable price.

However, if you can live without paying more for these extra features than Sparkle is your friend.

Yar on evga website i have even seen gtx 460 with core at 850 with about 10 to 20 dollars price difference

Price/performance wise Sparkle is best. If ur emphasis is on performance you havve two options:

1) Wait a few weeks for the Sparkle Calibre GTX460 which will be priced between 19-23k
2) Get the MSI HAWK GTX460 which is for 24.5k.

Keep in mind though, that if you are getting these solely for games, any Overclocked variant wont give you much benefit.

well,, my advice is to u is that go for sparkle,, Coz as galib said that when u will sale it people will give u offer considering tht sparkle is available in very cheap price,, no matter u have any brand,, so to cut a long story short,, calibre is the best option,, if u cant hold ur horses then go for sparkle simple 460 @ 18.5k ,,

i am facing the same i receieve these sort of message about my HIS 4870 HIS WAS NEVER a Cheap brand like XFX but the comparision message comes See the PRICE OF XFX the UGLY EGG SHAPE looking cooler

So From now ON DONT RUN FOR it Buy the GOOD / CHeapest one No Advantage paying so much Extra on ASUS

yaar mai ne sapphire 4890 liya tha isi chakar mai ke sapphire is the best brand for ati and no doubt they proved in performance but i sold it in comparison to xfx ... and you are facing the same so i think no need for the details.
