Wildfire cannot run games decently so stay away from it.

Samsung galaxy gio is the best in your range. You can get one new and an 8GB card in 20k, would be a very nice upgrade over your 5800.

In about 22k you can get a used Nexus One. (Difficult to find because shopkeepers ask too high price for it sometimes. Only a handful who really are interested in selling it, will tell you quite reasonable price tag. The average "I" got was 22k)
In 24k, you can get a Xperia X10 in immaculate condition. (Depends on your search and bargaining. In Lahore Hafeez Center, i've found plenty of X10's available in market with very good condition and shopkeepers are quite reasonable for it i.e. 23-24k)

Anything less than that, buy yourself the cheapest android phone, the i5700 spica. Mod It and pull out the best performance out of it. It'll cost you near 13 - 13.5k BUT beware as its VERY difficult to find in market. And if you do find it, pay no more than 13 or 13.5k for it.

so what abt the software...X10 is on android 2.1 and r there any official support for 2.2 or 2.3...and whats all abt the Custom Roms and stuff...plus is it as easy to put cracked app in android as in Iphone (jailbreak)

and tell me which things to look for before buying the phone..

22k for X10 is quite reasonable assuming you are satisfied with its condition.

Community Support for Xperia X10 is , well compared with other handsets is much less ... But hey, you gotta drop 'something' to get a handset in your price range. Its will still be good enough for you if you are too restricted by your budget, and far better than Wildfire or other Android phones below it. Custom ROMS are avaiable for every android handset so its not a big deal, because you'll be able to find just enough ROMS to be satisfied.

Usually, X10 is found in market with 1.6, but it is upgradeable, so again, not an issue.

Cracked application for android ... its a big joke so it should be the least of your concern. You are about to use "ANDROID" man .. comon.

About things to check before buying a used phone, dont know about some official list, but there are the things I look in the phone before buying.
1. "Inspect" the condition of handset. Any sign of damage, will give you an opportunity to bargain with the price, and the next thing strictly depends on your bargaining skill.
2. Play with handset, and dont worry if it takes you an hour to check it. You are about to pay a huge amount so shopkeepers have to keep the patience in check.
3. Check the Sound Quality.
4. Check voice calls.
5. Check the Video Playback.
6. Open back cover and check for any signs if its opened or repaired. (If you get even the slightest thought about the handset being opened or repaired, discuss it with shopkeeper. If he fails to satisfy you, leave the handset, or even if he does, ask for a written warranty on the receipt he is about to give you after the payment)
7. Check the IME number.
8. Ask for battery timings. Play with handset, try to MAXIMIZE the phone usage with maximum brightness, multitasking, gaming, video playback, Internet Surfing etc. WiFi drains battery quicker than any other thing so USE IT. This is very easy incase of Android.

Thats all i can think of right now. Forgive me if i've missed anything because when you are in the shop, you get countless negative thoughts automatically.

X10 ain't good...good some more greens and buy Desire
Here in Lahore, Desire costs NO LESS THAN 28k. Its like shopkeepers have FIXED the price for it, and are not read to sale it. And if you try to bargain for it, the response you'll get will be shown as 'Meh'.

x10 is a good set but the problem is that its having Android 2.1. and will get GingerBread in late Q3. Its not officially dual touch but custom roms in XDA have managed to make it dual touch. And it doesnt support multitouch.

There are many Android 2.2 Custom firmwares for X10. So you have to flash it to get all those dual touch and 2.2.

You can get Motorola Milestone in good condition in 23-24k or buy Ufone Image.
Here in Lahore Market, Milestone is very difficult to find. I was only able to find TWO milestones in whole Hafeez Center. But fortunately, they both were in immaculate condition and were being sold at 18-19k. I would however happily pay 17 or 17.5k for it, because now, you really can get a Nexus One is 22k which is even better than Milestone.

But they are upgradeable and you can always install custom roms to enhance its functionality, which you NEED to do after having X10. Furthermore, its good for those people willing to spend atleast 20k and no less than that and still need a good androd handset. Ofcourse it has its limitations, but then its the price which you pay for it.

That is why i dont recommend anyone to buy X10 UNLESS they are too restricted by their budget.
I can ask them to buy either the cheapest i5700 Spica or buy The best, Galaxy S. But what if someone from the middle gets up and wants an android phone and is ready to spend 20-22k. Well simply ask him to add 2k more and get X10 ... simple.

In my opinion, if anyone wants a good android handset, buy no less than Desire. OR if you have money with you, then choose the best overall package available in market, i.e. Galaxy S.

abobobily bhai,.. 28k price of used Desire or New one?
New main to ab kahin bhi nahin milta. So 28k for used one ofcourse. But they are mostly imported handsets from abroad so you can always find one in immaculate condition.

I've been into this scenario trust me. My budget started from 10k, then 16k, then 20k, then 24k, then 28k, then 30k, and finally 35k and bought a Galaxy S, in timeframe of 3 months lol.
Being a Die Hard nokia fan it was rather difficult for me to find a good handset which would give be the best output for my money. And i am happy that I bought the Galaxy S.

If "I" were to choose a handset, i would simply go for Galaxy S.

From the above choices, i would choose Desire, because of Better Camera (which recorders 720p, N1 does not), and better battery timings and tiny bit of more Ram and Sense UI. (Do note that both handsets have nearly identical as for specs)
Nexus 1 is more suitable for Developers.

However, if budget is limitation for you, then Nexus One, being 2k cheaper than X10, and for being 6k cheaper than Desire. OR buy the X10 if you want some 8MP camera.

Desire new main aata he nahin hay ab. The other day i was unable to find even a single Desire box packed in whole Hafeez Center.
In 36k there are several other x3 better alternatives available in market now.
