There is no doubt that the iPhone is a cash cow for Apple and AT&T. But, behind the iPhone is a long line of other companies who are reaping the benefits of supplying parts and services to Apple. Have you ever wondered how all that money is distributed? GigaOM has put together an incredible info graphic that explains in great detail where all that cash is flowing too.

The graphic does shed some light on to how much AT&T has to fork over to Apple for each phone sold; the graphic states that AT&T does not break even until the 17th month of a 24 month contract for heavy data users. This goes to show that AT&T serves the iPhone as a high volume, low margin type device for the carrier.

It should be noted that some of the numbers in the graphic are estimates but they are reasonable estimates based off of trusted sources and Apple's own earnings.

Where does all the money we pay our electricity bills with goes ? It's certainly not going in the department that should improve the functionality

Interesting! And apple also makes tons of money through apps.

In order to develop a app:
* You need a mac
* You need to pay apple $100 for some developer package
* After making the app, apple decides to let it through or not.
* If it goes through, apple takes 30% of the sales.

Well this question is a bit off topic but i didn't want to make a new thread just for it.
I wanted to ask the price of iphone 3G 8Gb in USA. I checked the Apple Store and it says it available for $99 which is quite cheap. So i wanted to ask that is it available for $99 everywhere in America cuz my uncle is coming from america in the first week of January so i was wondering that i should get it if its available for $100 there? =D

whoever gets one will have to sign an att contract for two years and will then get the iphone on top of that u can expect him to shell out 40 to 50 dollars every month for the next two years based on that contract

    Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

    tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
