So this is a fucked up thing, I dont have the slightest idea that what the fuck happend,
I bought a new gtx460, ,took out my own gpu gtx560 n plugged in 460 my computer for checking as I bought it for someone else, so it was giving display fine, the driver didnt picked it up though.
I have the latest nvidia driver. N well the computer turned on normally.
I was in a hurry took out the gtx460 , n left computer unplugged now powerplug connecting, came back after 4 hours, put in my gtx 560, put in back usb wires n thingies, n the computer refuses to switch on, I push the power button n nothing happens,
So I took out the psu n all psu wires unplugged from computer n connect back still nothing, I kept trying, then suddenly the computer switchwd on (just powerplug connected no gpu inside n no display connected)
Then I connected the hdd it got switched n then after tht I connected my gpu again, n when I connected my gpu it refused to switch on, after tht I removed the gpu.n.tried again n once again the computer fucking refused to switch on, what the hell is wrong with it
Its driving me mad

With your problem, I find your PSU to be at fault.

Get a new PSU.

Preferably Xigma NR-PC602.

Reviews are sweet and I believe a lot of members here own it + Its reliable

GPU lagao to computer on nahi hota.
GPU nikaalo to computer on hojata hay.

Maybe GPU ka maslah hay? Short Circuiting maybe? :s Its too difficult to answer.

Why not check your GPU in some other PC if you have another PC available...

yar similar thing happened to me, my friend needed a ram stick urgent, i had two in mine so i gave him one, it was late in night when next morning i turned on my system, it didn't turned on checked under the hood, everything looked fine tried it again, cpu fan started for a second then stopped, system didn't turn on.. left it alone for half day it worked fine, turned it off at night next morning it din't turned on, again left it alone for half a day it worked again... happened for four five days but after that its working fine up till now .. tough i am saving money coz next time it happens i will throw this s.o.b down the balcony ;)

b.t.w: yar my extension cord's plug which was plastic give a shock on the 2nd day, changed the extension but the problem still continued two three days more.. oh i used to pull out plug of cpu/main connection when i turned if off but the first time my computer worked without any problem was when i missed doing that, so i haven't been pulling it out thinking maybe it likes being earth'ed or something, ( also haven't put the ram back in ;) ).. i dont think this is relevant but who knows

edit : you psu makes noise ... its definitely its way of telling he is ill ;)..

Earth or no earth, how can you get an electric shock via plastic -__-

Hey, first off, calm down, dude!

F this F that won't help us understand your problem, rather, make it tougher for us, the commoners to understand.

Regarding your problem, it's not easy to tell.

I had a GX550, and it started with what you're telling me. But the PC didn't turn on at all. I removed the 24 pin, 4+4 pin, hdd cables and gpu power cables and plugged the psu in. The next thing I know is the circuit breaker has gone off and there's a burning smell. -__-

But, it could be case of a dead GPU than a dead PSU (I suspect the latter though).

"n left computer unplugged now powerplug connecting,"
I don't understand what you said. Could you pl rephrase that?

__

Anyway. I think the PSU is dying. Try and find some other sub-500W psu and just check if it works well.

EDIT: Oh, and although I don't think it's this way, just in case, check to see if the control wires on the Power switch is connected to the switch properly. It could be a lose solder, coincidentally working when you had removed the gpu.

You could eliminate this option, though, if it always works without the gpu and never with the gpu.

aap ka psu phuk gaia hai,buy new psu.
Yeah mujhey bhi aisa lagta hai, :(
Sadly but wht happend I mean was the new gpu 460 at fault, kia gpu psu ko kharab kar sakta hai, :(

GPU lagao to computer on nahi hota.
GPU nikaalo to computer on hojata hay
No its not like that, it was not turning on at all, even without gpu then once it turned on, after pluging out the psu wires numerous times n punching psu :banghead:
Jab on ho gaya us k baad gpu lagaya lekin phir on nai ho raha tha, phir gpu remove kia aur us k baad bhi on nai ho raha tha,

Ur story is also beyond common sense :p
It only makes that clicking sound when I put its 24pin connector to main borad.n its on very very small scale, u have to.attach ur ear to.that steel jhali (mujhey nai.pata k jhali ko english mei kia kehtey hain xD ) to hear it

lol yeah, i read another thread "my system is haunted" and all i wanted to say was buddy you haven't met mine .. and about the noise, yeah i noticed a couple of second ago when i replied to that other guy, somehow i read every minute instead of very minute ..

edit: anyways converting long story short , see if your cpu fan rotates for a sec or it doesn't even comes to that /

Anywhere in the world :p
Did you earth yourself before doing all these changes ??

Static charge can destroy mobo, psu and gpu.. Best way if you wanna do these changes is to touch a metal rod all the time. Its not enough to just turn off da power and dive into the system blindly.

Anyhow i would suggest u try psu first cuZ its smallest and ov least value...

Good luck !!!

1. Most probably, the PSU is gone or left with very little breath. So try a different PSU.
2. Build your system on table, out of the casing and once it runs fine, then shift it into the case.
3. One of the wire of your 24pin connector is loose. Shake it, try to make a contact.

ok here is the update for anyone who is interested here what happened then afterwards ,,,,

I brought a psu from my friends house, its a 750watt, and plugged it in in my cpu to confirm that weather it is the psu or motherboard, plugged in the psu and the computer still does not budge, and then at that moment i got a mini heart attack, that wtf its bloody new board, and I don't have any warranty of it :( i was dishearted and heart broken , dil kar raha tha k eis computer ko bahir phenk do, was sobbing, then a very fucked up idea came in my mind that what if i loose the mobo screws lose the screws a little bit, and magic happend computer started and then connected the gpu and everything was okey dokey (y)
afterwards i connected my own cooler master gx550 and now MashAllah thanks to Allah i have my computer running again on the same specs (y)

thank you everyone for ur advice though , so if some one has such problem then they ought to check if he didn't tight screwed too much :)
