What's the average salary for a car driver?

Hey any one knows average salary of driver, so before I hire I know how much to offer and not get con , I'm thinking of employing one for 8-10 hour job depending upon office timing .

15k should be a MUST, you will even find people giving 8k's to their driver if you follow that logic. Just imagine, living in 15k for a family man is already damn low.

Offer him 15k and he will maintain ur car and no expense. Offer him 10k and you will need to maintain ur car at 5k more per month. Hope u got my point

We had a driver for 8k + breakfast, lunch & dinner. [2009-2012]
Then for 10k + breakfast, lunch & dinner. [2013-2014]
Both were full time and had Saturday & Sunday off.

wow those are some low figures. Our driver gets 18k plus room and meals plus travel expenses.

My friend tried to hire a driver once.

He was demanding 12,000 Rs per month for 12 hours, 6 days a week.

They kept haggling and they ended up agreeing to 7,000 Rs + Lunch for 12 hours, 5 days a week.


I guess Lunch was the deal maker.

P.S we worked our ass off not to give much to someone who only drives when we ask him too.

Hiring someone to drive your car is a privilege, if you dont make enough to afford it and pay him whats due, you probably dont deserve him.
