What is the right way to shave?

I'm talking about face. I wanna ask about the right way to shave your beard if you want to get the closest shave.

Like, which angle? In long swipes or short ones?

I have a Mach3 Turbo AND a Gillette ProGlide...I am pretty sure there's something wrong with the way I shave because I never get a REALLY REWALLY close shave

I don't shave nowadays, but when using machine, I do one area 2-3 times to get a decent enough trim even with a machine.

i use gillete blue 3 and do 3 coats and after this you can feel any sense of hairs on my face and hairs starts appearing after 3 dayz

well, i use Fusion [5 blades] and one coat is enough for a week
just from upward to downwards thats the best angle.

nai yaar, I use Fusion PROGLIDE! ... I don't care if it's a week or a day but clean toh ho tameez se :/

It gave me 8 cuts on the first try and about 5 cuts today too :/

I use two coats and 3 blades and 4 blades razors...
What I do to get a smooth clean shave is that while shaving I stretch the area with my hand for example the cheek and then shave downward...
Check the area with my hand to feel any hair left, feel the area where it didn't shave right and then shave their again..

I shave using Braun Cruzer 2 (machine) and most people cant believe i use a machine to shave although i hardly ever shave, mostly just trim it... i like light facial hair

Trust me, I've contemplated waxing...It's just not accessible enough, although my female housemates might know more on that lol

Well girls here also like light facial hair, but it doesn't look sleek...that's how I like to look.

i dont like shaving regularly n dont have mature beard though em gonna b 21 this march,i shave atleast after 2 weeks when my french beard(which comes most) starts irritating me
i use shaving foam n gilette 3 razor blade,b4 that used 2razor blade,but both perform the same as when em done i still feel some hairs as after using machine hairs r left n on neck i cant shave at all its so hard i try so many times though not much hairs come.......n some times i try down to up shave that clears the hair good but i do get cuts well in every shave.......

I try to shave as close as possible, I use Gillette blue 2 & foam, yes I too shave from up to down but down to up on cheeks. I shave like twice to thrice a week, and I just use one coat & that's it! And I stretch my skin too. Hope it might help u

Ok guys, sorry to disappoint you, but shaving UPWARD doesn't necessarily help well not really... It all depends on YOUR facial hair. Try shaving in the opposite direction in which your hair are growing in that particular area, not all of us have all facial hair facing downward, some of us do have some area where the hair might be growing in some other direction, so go against that direction.

Also why not try getting some different shaving cream? or try Gilette Shaving Gel, i dunno, i used to prefer Gel over Cream, although i don't do razors anymore, they irritate my skin, so i got Braun Cruzer 2, it cost hell of a lot for a shaving machine, but the shave is better than any i've ever achieved.
