Sam taught Drake how to use the hook since their childhood and all these years and games, we didn't see the use of it and now Drake magically uses it a lot :p

Plat'd it so if you guys want to play multiplayer add me up.
Probably it reminded him of Sam too much.

Remember how he couldn't even look at their pic? :p

This game takes me places. I wonder if it's just me, or does listening to this flashed back 9 years of Uncharted memories for anyone else also? I still remember how I had a new PS3, the Uncharted PSN demo failed to impress me and I felt done with MGS4 and GTA4. I almost sold my PS3 to a kid (then) named guyzone on PG (psst NaNoW) but Nomad convinced me to play the whole of Uncharted from start to finish. Only other time I've felt such nostalgia was in 2008 when I played MGS4. Uncharted just catapulted itself into legendary territory on my personal list of videogame series.

You picked me from work and we rushed to Scon circle in your Vitz? ;)
I think we picked up 4-5 copies, right?

That said, is there any word for an online co-op mode for Uncharted 4? Or a theater mode?
Not sure for the story mode but there is a theater mode coming for the multiplayer this summer and co-op this autumn. That's all we know so far.

Finished the game over the last weekend, visually it is the most stunning and pleasing game I have ever played I have saved about 300+ MB of screenshots in my PS4 thats prolly the games out of the recent titles where I had to stop at several moments to capture the beauty of scenery or to observe the amazing details put in the game, for instance; when driving if you put the car in reverse you can see drake actually shifting the gear in reverse same goes for the hand brake.

Shooting, driving, platforming, puzzles and the story everything actually lived upto the hype. The set pieces however weren't that exciting if you compare it with UC2. The enemy encounters in the ending chapters satiated my appetite for blood and headshots.

The story too did its part to add to the excitement with its fair share of twists and interesting character.

Though there are areas where I wish they could have done more esp. with the huge areas which were mostly empty.

Uncharted 4...anyone else come late to this?

So, it's been out since last May, and I've only just started playing it. And it's even better than the first three (in my opinion). Anyone else arrived late to this? If so, what's the reason? For me, it was just time, and not wanting to get swallowed by a time...whirlpool! Too late now, though;-)

If anyone's interested here's my first 45 mins or so in the game:)

It was a decent enough game, until Horizon I'd have said probably the best looking console game out there so far. The actual shooting mechanics were the weakest part of the game imo, a lot of people recommend to tone down difficulty to easiest so combat can be finished quicker and the player gets back to exploring.

Finished it recently on Hard. Dreadfully boring game with pacing issues. Hated the shooting mechanics and automatic platforming. Some chapters have you doing climbing and nothing else. There is no incentive for exploration. Story is as generic as they come. Visuals are the only thing I liked about the game but the image quality still has alot of room for improvement. Ghosting artifacts and shadow dithering gave the game a very grainy look.

Thats not really possible since its caused by temporal AA which is the same on both consoles. No amount of resolution boost will overcome that.

I'm sure the Pro handles the performance better though, the frame rate tanks during the last fight with Rafe on base PS4.

Isn't ghosting also related to the LED's ? like some TVs are more susceptible to it than others ? That might have been a contributing factor.

The only game I remember where ghosting was a real big issue was Halo: Reach where you'd literally see trails of characters behind them, the ghosting was so bad.

Could be related to the TV but I haven't noticed it in any other game to the point of being distracted as in UC4.

Look at Sam's hand here. And the artifacts around the hair. The game just exhibits that typical vaseline-smeared grainy look. Its definitely one of the blurrier looking native 1080p games I've played. ND should take notes from Sucker Punch in that dept. The temporal AA frankly ruins an otherwise technically competent game.

Phil should be held responsible for this shitfest too, just like Sarah, but it's highly likely that these decisions are coming from Satya. And this isn't even the end of it. More closures are coming.

if we are moving towards more and more popular trash across platforms that make billions for companies, I'm happy with all the barriers and exclusivity because at least that brings some pressure to create good stuff.

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
