yes i think the same .. but i guess the RPMs on the FAN ( if tht can be measured) are lower than reference cards .... another thing is that the cooling design is compeltely different.. as with other 5850z this doesnt throw the hot air from the rear of the card .. making it sound like a wind turbine ...... it dissipates it along the sides .. making it super silenttt ... i mean my 25 db 120mm fan can be heard but not this ...
May be thats the reason.

In-fact, cooler with shroud helps in keeping temperatures at low levels.

If you'll add a card board shroud over this cooler(leaving fan space open only), temperatures will lower by at-least 5C.

If u have a Nice ventilation in ur Case then the temps will automatically go down & Do take into consideration enviromental Factors i.e temp,humidity .etc

yea i think the ambient temp is high now adays and these temps are with the AC ( Thandi Machine) ..... lets see wht stunts it can pull off

personally i think 5850 doesnt require a special cooler or twin frozer......

well idle and load temps depend a lot on the fan speed ..... at auto idle were 45 and load were 71

Its a cool card afterall but a custom cooler keeps the temps lower even with OC and you get better looks , BTW Twin Frozr is the best GPU cooler you can get..;)
