Travelling with Consoles

I'm going to be travelling to Dubai soon, and i'm a bit worried about keeping my Xbox 360 in a suitcase as check-in baggage. Any advice or suggestions would be helpful from those who've travelled with consoles. Will it be a problem if I take it as hand-carry?

my brother came from abu dhabi last week brought his console in a laptop bag.it came in one piece and safe.keep it in hand carry if you want to.

yar i have travelled alot in domestic flights with my 360 n my pc motherboard, cpu, gpu, psu, hard disks n all components disassembled packed in a bag with lots of clothes around it to protect it ...
n i never faced any issues
but if its only ur 360 then laptop bag is ur best option!

I brought 360(Boxed) in a shopping bag(hand carry) from Saudia =)

Hand carry is your best bet , the bloody porters handles your stuff like crazy if you opt to luggage your console , i have travelled a lot and where ever would i go i use to carry along my ps3 in hand carry , it was a fat one and it was bloody heavy but then i had to do it , in your case xbox is much slimmer and light , go on hand carry it !!

I have travelled with my PS3 Slim in luggage with clothes all around it to protect it and Alhumdulillah it came here in one piece...

Will be travelling back to KSA tomorrow and will be taking my console in luggage again as I didn't get time to get a carrying bag for it...

Few of my friends went to Pakistan from UK and all of them has kept their console in the luggage without any problem..just pack it properly and you will be fine.

Bubble wrap might do the trick.

I myself take my 360 to the Uk in the summers, even dropped my bag once . Its perfectly safe

Recently made a trip to Dubai. Kept my PS3 in my backpack. The custom dudes were puzzled as to what I was carrying but there wasn't any probs

And I'm pretty confused again, I think carrying it around as hand-carry will be a pain.
