What is the average download speed you're getting and is it consistent or is it drop on some hours?

My Xbox One is consistently pulling 20.5 mbps. Upload speeds are hitting above 18 mbps mostly.

Well that went less than smoothly as I would have liked.

They came to install the internet and TV connection today and right out of the gate the lead guy informed me that they're using World Call's cable. Awkward silence ensued as I told him that I'm already using World Call and why the hell didn't anyone tell me this before when I mentioned it several times during the payment exchange process?

One of the biggest reasons I wanted to shift to Transworld was because their analog channel list online showed Discovery and Natgeo. Apparently that's false advertising since World Call doesn't give you these channels on Analog.

A lot of phone calls and disheartened family members later, we decided to drop the TV installation and go for the Internet alone. I must say I'm still depressed about the whole situation. They outright lied, and in other cases, kept information from me about their TV service.

The internet itself is installed and working. I did speed tests on the countries @murtaza12 requested and their pings are almost exactly the same as my PTCL connection. The gains are marginal and nothing to write home about. Though Im happy to report that the speed is sticking close to 20Mb so there's that.

Really in a 'mehh' mood right now because my father won't get Discovery and Natgeo after all this shit anyway.

Well sorry for your experience. I personally got transworld 2.5 months ago and couldnt be happier. I had worldcall 4 mb before. (I did not get tv connectivity from transworld so I really cant comment on that) Im surprized that you didnt experience better pings as my pings for EU server in League of Legends improved from 165 to 140 (worldcall). PTCL is notorious for its bad pings (friends + its all over PG).

However I dont think anyone will get a better deal in pakistan of 20 MB for 4,000 monthly. I do hope your experience improves as time goes on.

PTCL is notorious for its bad pings (friends + its all over PG).

However I dont think anyone will get a better deal in pakistan of 20 MB for 4,000 monthly. I do hope your experience improves as time goes on.

And me being physically closer to the submarine cable was always going to come into play. Hence expecting a noticeable improvement on pings was never going to happen.

People further away from the sea always get worse pings than people in karachi.

I will add one thing though. My Xbox One's own bandwidth test has now started showing pings of 270-ish instead of the usual 350 - 400.

I'm not exactly sure which server the Xbox One connects to when it performs its speed test. Make of that what you will.

I'm not exactly sure which server the Xbox One connects to when it performs its speed test. Make of that what you will.

I think it checks with US servers. If it does, 270ms ping on US servers is pretty good. I get 270-ish on EU, and 350+ on US with shiTCL.

However, some games have a built-in connection meter where they show your ping and packet loss to the current server.
Battlefield 4 and Black Ops 3 are the two I can think of.

Yeah even more when ping is really high. Esp Australian and Canadian servers.

I think 3k is Internet Only, whereas 4k is Internet + TV.

its 3k. Total becomes for 4 with 32% tax (provincial + federal)

A year and a half later still going strong. Never faced DC's , no loss of connectivity , no issues with pings. I do not recall life before tw anymore.

Yes you can use a splitter and do So but only analog TV channels I.e 80 Worldcall channels. None digital .

Alright! Do you mean they don't offer Digital Channels or after using the splitter I won't get Digital Channels?

I just got connected to transworld today in phase 6. Getting constant 20mbps upload and download. Pings to Dubai and EU are approximately 150-200ms and to US are 250-300ms. Am using Kodi to stream international channels and HD movies. 1080p streams work flawlessly. Couldn't be happier :rock:
