In my view Nayatel will not come in Karachi before 3 years. As lahore ppl. are waiting for Nayatel. Still they are not covered the whole Isl./Rawalpindi area. I m hoping for StormFiber https://www.stormfiber.com/ in Karachi they are currently available in Clifton and soon they will expand other areas of Karachi as per their representative said.

Nayatel relies on Karachi for it's internet connectivity. All submarine cables comes through Karachi and Nayatel takes it through Seamewe 3 and 4 . This was the main reason why Telenor shifted to Tw1 which relies on Mobilink's fibre optic network to supply its own internet services all over Pakistan. Any downtime or loss in services is because Nayatel has to go through the process of getting in touch with Karachi based services and operstors to sort their connectivity. Whereas Tw1 operates and control its own infrastructure. Thus at this moment tw1 is investing heavily to expand its services to general consumers as they have incredible amount of bandwidth being wasted. They are expanding very fast and you will see coverage in some areas of Lahore and Islamabad very soon.
Well My office is in DHA Phase 6 and uses multiple fiber link of Transworld (TES). I don't know the Bandwidth because it restrict to 1 mbps Downloads/Uploads to every system. Yes u r right there are 2 companies that bought Bandwidth from International market One is PTCL and other one is Transworld (TES) first private company that bought bandwidth from international market. As per my knowledge i know Transworld from early 2012 from that time they provide service in DHA Phase 6 and in 2015 they still provide services in DHA Phase 6 they are not focusing on consumer rather they are focusing on corporate customers. like telenor and mobilink as you mentioned ... and any other corporate companies. I think they are happy with their corporate customers and not interested to expand other areas of Karachi for individual consumers.
Transworld just started providing fiber to home services since October 2014. They have been previously only catering the cooperate customers. They are expanding quiet fast too as in 6 months they have almost covered whole phase 6 and are now giving internet to few phase 5 homes too. You must note that phase 6 itself is a huge area spanning from ittehad till shahbaz .
Just to update everyone. Been running this service since 6 months with zero downtime. Unlimited 20mb download and upload , have reached 4tb upload on private torrent thanks to transworld.
Apart from this , their customer service has been excellent for example during one port opening event for my xbox one to which within 5 minutes after one call i was doing remote desktop with their agent who helped me open and set port forwarding for my xbox one.
Pings have been 120-150ms on eu servers, 220-250 on US servers . I would suggest all in Phase 6 to subscribe to their service for 3500 rps per month for 20mbit and for others outside this area should contact fiber link (internet being supplied by transworld) to avail tw1 services.
