Can anyone please confirm how long it takes for TES to actually install the connection ?
When I filled the form I was told you would receive a confirmation call next day, after 3 days the team would visit for inspection and within next 3-4 days your connection would be active.
It has been 9 days since and I am yet to receive a confirmation call, or a visit by their so called engineering team. I have emailed them and all I receive is a template reply of sorry for inconvenience.

if this is the level of support quality before connection I only wonder if they would be any better than PTCL once the connection is active ?

I faced the same. I was promised an up and running connection in 4 days, but it took almost 2 weeks. They did deploy my connection within 4 days, but it took them about 8 days to activate my connection and that too after tons of calls and one final "danda" call so I suggest you do the same early on.

They will keep saying "we apologize and that we have forwarded your request to the concern department". Same response every damn call.

They took exactly 2 weeks in my case. Although I didn't have to wait for activation, it was active on the same day that it got installed.

Email PTA at [email protected] and CC TES in the email.

4) Is the TV actually HD ? PTCL also marketed their IPTV as HD but it is more like 480p and some channels are worse.
TW's TV quality certainly looks like proper HD, if not full HD. I once used PTCL smart TV service when they were offering it through their smart TV website for Rs.100/month. At that time it didn't look any different than the usual quality of streaming on websites (i.e. s*** quality). Never used it after that but don't know why I'm still being charged Rs.100/month on my telephone bill even though I disconnected their Internet a long time ago <_<

Also they are planning to do the installation coming Wednesday so anything I should be aware of or to check during or after the installation ?
From the personal experience of one of my friends, I've heard that corporate fibre internet providers are facing issues in Karachi on their expansion because of local 'cable-wala' operators. He also ordered a newly announced fibre Internet provider in his area however he's still waiting for connection and it couldn't be done in stipulated time because of this issue.

But here's to hoping your connection goes smoothly.

This is exactly what is happening right now and I had been communicating with their email support because whenever I call on their contact number the call does not go through.

Just an update on the TES connection.

I was told on payment connection would be done in 7 days. Its today day 13 and the connection has been not been installed yet. This week I twice received calls from Lahore number that the team would be at your house tomorrow but nothing happened. I had called and talked to their support team many time and they only reply back with a copy paste response nothing else.

On Friday I had emailed them if the connection is not installed by this Monday I would be coming to their office to get my money back. If this is their method of business and service before connection I can imagine what would happen when issues would appear during service so its not worth the time. These people are way more pathetic than the PTCL ones I have dealt with. I dont have any hopes of connection tomorrow either so I would be going to their office for my payment Tuesday.

TES customer support particularly in Karachi is horrible. You should definitely go for Stormfiber if its available in your area... even PTCL GPON is great.

Ok so I have terminated the Transworld connection before it was actually installed.

Just spoke to StormFibre people and they are asking Rs:16000 for new connection with 3 months free for 30mbps. Just had a pretty bad experience with Transworld so can anyone please confirm if Stormfibre is any good in terms of minimal downtime, constant speed up and down and most importantly customer service ? Anyone in PECHS area already having stormfibre would be great to hear from.

Most people on PG seem to be satisfied with SF. Their is a thread for it in this forum which you can check out.

Just keep in mind they also have CG-NAT like TES.

Does tes give you a public IP if you email them for it? Or they only hand out static IPs?
They used to put people on public IP pools if they asked for it, free of charge.

Now they only offer static IPs for 250 per month.

Hi i recently switched to TES from PTCL. Internet is much better than ptcl but the problem is that wifi range of their router is utter shit. I tried to connect the maim router with another linksys router i have with ethernet(which they provided for IPTV on upper floor of my house) for better wifi coverage but now the problem is that either the IPtv works or the wifi. Both are unable to work simultaneously. What am i doing wrong? Any help will be appreciated.

How is the Linksys router configured?

As a normal router or as an AP?

tried it. Still same issue. Either IPTV works or WIFI. Both does not work simultaneously
It only happens when you connect a router?

So if you connect IPTV and a PC at the same time (wired connection to the TES device), will they both work simultaneously?
