A little Info

This is an offshoot of the Original FreeStyle Dash for a HomeBrew Enabled Xbox 360.
Features


  • FTP Support.
  • List XBOX 360, GOD Packages, XBOX Live, Application and Emulators, and launch them.
  • Support for artwork for each title, including boxart, screen shots and icon.
  • Use pc to download artwork to xbox either via usb drive or ftp.
  • Browse games by genre.
  • Favorite games support.
  • Game details including no of players, resolution, sound and online options,
  • Full screen screen shot viewer.
  • Fully skinable.
  • Uses indexer to allow you to download artwork, and edit the metadata with each game.
  • Customizable overscan.
  • Source code released too.
  • FTP speeds now 10Mb+ to internal HDD.
  • FTP working in many more clients (see FTP info section).
  • Copy DVD to USB drive or HDD.
  • View recently played games.
  • Preview video for each game.
  • Sounds within user interface.
  • View free disk space on all drives.
  • Date and Time in dashboard.
  • Background Artwork.
  • Add images manually using indexer.
  • File Browser including copying, moving and deleting files.

Installation


  • Copy the "freestyle" folder into the root of USB0: or HDD1:
  • If you wish to launch from dash choose and burn the appropriate launch image.
    • freestyle-usb.iso - cd image to boot freestyle from usb0:\freestyle\freestyledash.xex
    • freestyle-hdd.iso - cd image to boot freestyle from hdd1:\freestyle\freestyledash.xex
  • Copy the proper boot package to hdd1:\Content\0000000000000000\C0DE9999\00007000\ to have it show in the NXE Dashboard.
    • freestyle-usb - package to boot freestyle from usb0:\freestyle\freestyledash.xex
    • freestyle-hdd - package to boot freestyle from hdd1:\freestyle\freestyledash.xex

i just cant get the game pics / preview movies to play , i can select the game but its just like browsing with out any pic of that game been displayed or any sort of animation being played line on you tube videos .

pls explain how i should do this , free style dashboard latest verision is on the external hdd and games are there . i can manually slect the game and play it but dong get any art work / animation / video preview etc .

you can't manually insert pics, i have found this method but i think you have to ftp your 360 with pc.

plug your external hard drive into the pc. there's a folder called FSD indexer. click on the program in that folder and select your ext hard drive from the drop down menu in usb options. click ok. then select get data for all games and it will download them. make sure to press save content.xml when it is finished then exit and the icons should load up next time you start.

FSD indexer is in your Freestyle Dashboard folder.

FreeStyle Dash v1.10 RC1 Beta

An RC1 build of the opensource FreeStyle Dash v1.10 for homebrew 360s has been released.

What's new/fixed:
* Added Display Options: GamerTag, GamerScore, Temperature, Free Disk Space, System Info
* Added launching of God Games
* FTP Active mode and speed increases
* Can move Titles to different menus
* Fixed Status code crashes
* Semi Transparant Menus
* Fan Speed Controls
* LED Light Settings

Hey, is the JTag thing currently only available for Xenon's .. ? I can't find any Falcon's/Jasper's on eBay which say they are JTag compatible ..

^^CT has a Jtagged Falcon,TheGoldenTouch has a Jtagged Jasper so yeah, all 360's with a compatible kernel are Jtaggable.

this hombrew stuff just seems to get better and better every day. video preview can be used to browse tons of game and then select which one to play

executives at microsoft studios will scream in anger once they any of these videos

    You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
