Sehri is usually a paratha and sometimes I have an egg with it as well. But today I had Chicken Pulao for Sehri in the plane! It was great!

Iftari is different every day.

I was thinking we should consume slow burning carbos in sehri for constant energy release so I found a nice list of things which are slow burning..so anyone up for testing my theory that we should consume slow burning carbohydrates instead of fast burning ones?

Slow burning :

Whole wheat pasta is a very good slow digesting carb because it is made from whole grain. To eat more healthy pasta you can make a delicious pasta with pesto or pasta with chicken and mushrooms.Steel cut oatmeal (as well as Buckwheat, Barley and other whole grains) is not the same as the most popular instant oat meal. Instant oat meal has been highly processed and most of its slow digesting carbohydrates have been removed. Here some ideas for a great breakfast: porridge, these whole meal biscuits or this pancake.
Sweet potatoes are complex carbs providing you a slow spike to your blood glucose over a long period. While regular potatoes contain slow digesting carbs as well, sweet potatoes contain more of them. As the name suggests, they are naturally sweet in flavor, making them a great choice for sweet cravers.
Brown rice is rich of slow digesting carbs, supplying a long lasting feeling of fullness. What about this delicious lentil soup with brown rice?
Black beans, Lentils, Soybean and legumes are slowly digested in the human body and are not just polysaccharides. They have high amounts of fibre that slower digestion. Try out these kidney bean patties or this wonderful Mediterranean style burrito.
Green leafy vegetables like spinach, cauliflower, cabbage and broccoli. I recommend you thisspinach ring recipe or this pasta salad with spinaches.

Slow burning :

Add fenugreek seeds in the foods, it will make the process even more slower

use black pepper in the iftar dishes and ur stomach will light..
it overclocks the digesting process.

also drink ginger tea after aftar to reduce bloating

For Few Roza's I had Fried Bhindi with Chapati + Yougurt
then Switched to Sweet Yougurt and Chapati for Sehri
now i gonna have nehari and paya this time with Tandoori Nan :spiteful:

Iftari = RoohAfza/Tang.Orange , Homemade Chicken Rolls , Chicken Nuggets Sandwich , French Toast , Fried Eggplant coated with "Baison" ( Sliced ) , Egg and Noodles Sandwich

Note : Highlighted items are available daily , others are made on alternate days .

Sehri: Roti + Aalu Qeema + Dahi + a litre of water

Iftar: 2 adad aalu k samosay + doodh soda and khajoors.

The funny thing is that roza seemed to be the easiest out of all the roza's I've kept so far. Allah has a magnificent way of making things easy for you. :wink2:
