So if I'm an existing customer, all I gotta pay is 3-4k? They haven't dug a hole outside my street yet.. I want FIBERRRRRRR! Will they ask us or do we need to hound them?

Let's hope it works well. I got a call today saying that there will be maintenance going on in my area during the next 2 days due to service up-gradation.

please share pics of digging if there is digging going on in your area. Please share how PTCL is digging for fiber and how PTCL is installing fiber ducts.

I paid 3k when switching from DSL to GPON, so yes.

If they plan to fully phase out DSL and switch everyone to GPON, they will ask you. Otherwise, you will have to ask them to switch your connection.

It's called a Fiber handhole. It's where the main fiber cable is spliced and split into this box that allows for multiple connections.

From that box, a fiber drop cable will be installed to your house and then spliced again, where the SC fiber connector plugs directly into the ONT.

Finally the day is here PTCL is installing MSAG in my area with up to 100mb speed in 1km radius and 20mb speed in 2km radius

Can anyone please shed some light on the new upgrade offer from PTCL where it is being stated that you can get 8mbps for the price of 6mbps? There are not much details about this on PTCL website but the poster shows that you can upgrade till 31 Dec 2018 and that it will be valid for 6 months. Is there anything else to it?

You can check more details on their website actually. New/existing users can use 8 mbps at the price of 6 mbps.
