Whats ur area?? I am using 20Mbps VDSL Transformed package for a week now and my downloading speeds are awesome.. No slow browsing, i m a live streamer and its serving me really good.

did they give a new device for running vdsl ? a new model or something GPON etc... its said on website that 12000rs for a device for getting vdsl new packages.

12,000/- PKR is for GPON installation. VDSL just requires a VDSL modem which I already had as I was using 12Mbps VDSL package.

Speed is not fully recovered however I'm getting around 15mb atm . Not sure how long it is going to stay .

Sorry bro. Was busy and didn't log in to PG for almost a month. Can you elaborate your statement? Like are they using PIE now?

As for TW1 itself, I don't remember anything happening to TW1 during January so most probably an issue in the national network. All mobile operators (except Ufone) get their primary bandwidth from TW and use PTCL as a backup. They have physical fibers in active/standby modes connecting them to TW, and even though it's highly unlikely to lose both active/standby fibers, it does happen and the systems switch over to PTCL (PIE) for routing if they are configured for it.

I was just asking coz Telenor's routing has messed up as well, they were using TW1 routing ans they are still using it but routing is messed up.

Exactly thats what I am thinking as well.. LOL I am really surprised that Valve servers on PTCL are having good ping but why dont they have good ping to DICE (i3d servers)

For PTCL, AFAIK Valve has peering agreements with Etisalat which PTCL is directly connected to, whereas i3d peer with Omantel. PTCL doesn't use Omantel for data transit the last time I checked.
