Ao i went to PTCL office to ask to convert my connection to VDSL from normal ADSL connection. they said get us 5 PTCL users who are willing to change to VDSL then we will install it. Using that PTCL for 5 years. any ideas what to do? i mean i can't spend my time look for other guys for that!!

Nope but it will be available in Rawalpindi and in my area very soon .. Currently , I am using 20Mbps VDSL Transformed package and really enjoying it got my exchange revamped this month

Thats how they do, they need to install VDSL card in the MSAG and they need enough users for that. by the way VDSL starts from 8Mbps and Above packages.

Inception , for vdsl what they specially do? i ave got msag near my residence FTTC, will they dig the street and deploy fiber for this vdsl? or only revamp exchange? how do you know whether your exchange is upgrading ?

I am already running 8mb connection. just need VDSL to get better upload speed. There are many PTCL users in my area. but they small connections 2mb 4mb.

First you need to know that VDSL card is installed in your MSAG, then they will convert your package from ADSL to VDSL and install VDSL modem.

Well, nice to see that at least one of us got the transformed stuff going for them. For the past week or so, there is a lot of digging going on near my MSAG with a couple PTCL vans standing around. Internet has been consistently moody as well. I am hoping this can lead me to join you on the transformed side. lol

Not at all.. My MSAG was upgraded before so I got 8Mbps VDSL connection and then got the exchange revamped.

Which area are you at? and what exchange ?
