Bro you are not the only victim here yesterday these PTCL A**holes downgraded my actual 9210Kbps line profile to 8190kbps and I used to get 960kbps on my previous profile and now I'm hardly getting 800kbps, although I'm a 8Mb package user. But these morons has refreshed everyone's port and now we can't get 950+ kbps speed like before. I restarted and did everything in my power and after calling my DSL guy he told me the whole story that why profile was downgraded to actual 8Mbps link.

Yeah they run people on an 'upgraded' profile of 9210kbps (or variations of that) for a few months, and then 'downgrade' them to the actual 8190/8192 profile. Being almost a 1mbit downgrade, the difference in speed is definitely noticeable and most people mistake this for a dip in performance when instead it really is PTCL normalizing your params to actual.

It sucks, I know, for them to give you a taste of what good feels like and then take it away, but you can't really fault PTCL for doing that.

Getting 350 pings on peetcl

Hi guys i used to to get 290 pings on german and french servers. And was getting 170 on British servers. But since few day im getting 340 pings on german servers and 220 on British servers. Wheras my frndz are getting 200 pings on german server. Any solution whats happening wid peetcl. Anyone else having same issue?

Since a few days csgo has been living hell for me on ptcl, pings have doubled to 170 plus and at night it gets even worse reaching to 300 then to 700ms and then resetting the modem and praying to God it works. Even agar.io now stutters.

I'm sorry if this seems idiotic but how do I change my linksys router password? The router is connected to a lan cable which connects it to the dsl. But I can't find a way to change the password of my router anywhere on 192.168.1.1 as there is no WLAN tab as all the tutorials on the internet mention. Help would be appreciated!

go to wireless > basics and find your password field there and change it to what ever u want... if that doesnt help a Screen shot of your router settings would be much better to assist u

I think I will finally complain to them. The speedtest to the closest site was for me stagnant at 63ms now it's at 90ms+ - even ptcl community servers for CSGO are now plus 100 which is as you know impossible it used to be much lower. Somewhere these fools have messed around I will have a talk with them today. I suggest you do the same complaint and anyone else who is facing such issue. Let's see what happens!

I thought I was the only one facing issues with PTCL, but damn look at this thread.

Shit browsing and poor download speeds since last couple weeks. I complained them several times over their twitter @ptclCares their response time is good but problem is still present, after repeated complaints they sent some tech guy to check on my connection said that he changed the pairs or whatever and then checked my profile for which I had filed a complain. Getting a downstream of 4092kbps and the fucking upstream was below 100kbps.

Got the profile fixed and the upstream was at 600kbps and all went well until the very next day and the damned upstream was back at its miserable state and it still sits below 100kbps on a bloody 4mbps line.

Fucking idiots can't manage their shit.

I think somewhere in their loop they have messed up some settings the pings have gone out of control. Unless they know what they did I doubt they will be able to sort this one quickly.

Yeah I just gave in and bought a subscription to VPN(Battleping). Getting 10% packet loss on SEA and 260 to 320 ping on EUW was just too much. Now at least I can play on EUW with 190 ping with zero packet loss which is decent.

Does it work in other non supported games that use p2p (peer-to-peer) matchmaking. e.g Dawn of War, Company of Heroes, Mass Effect 3 (multiplayer) etc.

It should work. You can just download the program and run it in trial mode and check.
