My problem is as usual the weird one. There is technically no noise in my phone and still DS SNR is 10

Both SNR are non fluctuating. Why I'm not getting higher SNR anymore?

Any other user on your connection at the time of your checking? Check speed via a healthy torrent as well, you should be getting around 750-800KB/s

Its a load balancer. Been there, done that :crazy: Anyways, its value for money given the current price of package. This will basically aggregate traffic from both WANs i.e connection1 and connection2.

i have ordered a tp link load balance router from shophive will arrive tommorow - same one as posted by another member ....there were some load blance router which were 15000+ wats the diff in them and cheap models .

@abobobilly the only problem i am facing is that the channel switching of the pc tv app has become very slow it takes alot of time to switch the channel from one to another, i am recently shifted from copper to fiber, after this shifting i am facing this problem otherwise internet is working fine, tried to change the dsl modulation from adsl to G.dmt still no change..

@mended! The 2nd picture you have posted, go to that setting again. Under the Modulation, Uncheck ALL, except G.DMT.

Your phone line parameters are very good. The instability (causing random disconnections) might be because of modulation your connection is using i.e. ADSL2+.

About your LED TV ... you are fine. They said Monitors and Speakers because they have "magnet" in them and they can disrupt the your modem. If your LED TV has speakers, then YES ... distant your modem modem from it.

I am now on G.DMT, thankfully the frequent disconnection issues is resolved - but I think it slightly brought down the downstream rate - does that matter? and B) Ive been reading that people with 8mb connections are getting dowload rates of 700-900kbs - the max ive ever hit, even on healthy torrents is 680ish. Not that Im complaining, but it'd be nice to hit the 900 mark.

Your port is exactly 8Mbps. It should hit near 800KBps download. But there is a problem with your port configuration from back end. Notice the upstream which is less than 512K. So basically you won't get any more than 45-50KBps on upload. Where you should be getting double of that.

Also, the downstream rate is exactly 8Mbps. Meaning there is no room left for anything more than that. The only way you'll be able to achieve higher bandwidth is when your port will have some slack.

Call your exchange again and ask them to reset your port. Tell them that its less than 8Mbps and you are only getting 6Mbps speeds. Should be solved in a couple of minutes.

How is he getting 0.84Mbps on a 0.5Mbps upload port. Mind=Blown.

As I posted my bad SNR before. ( 2.9) on a 16mb connection. My download rate is around 11 mb and upload is 0.85 mb. ( on speedtest.ptcl.net) If the snr improves will the download also go to 16mb ( for which im paying for) os is 11mb dl normal on a 16mb connection?

God those are some scary stats. Your port is set at 24Mbps not at 16Mbps. And if SnR improves it probably should reach the 16Mbps mark though I've never actually seen someone using a 16Mbps conection before. Do what abobobilly suggested.

Could be multiple reasons.
- He might be using "SRA" in his modem settings (Seamless Rate Adaption)
- Previous picture might have been a bad sync and it might've changed after a modem restart or without it.
- It might not be the actual upload speed and just a boost, as usually happens in speed tests.

First of all, if your network is 'stable', you should feel lucky because even for a 16Mbps, these SNR values are not ok. Have your complaint lodged and get your line fixed. I am sure you will get your full speeds after that.

If you don't, then it might be because of a Port Problem from the exchange. In which case you should contact your local exchange for faster problem solution. (Broadband Area Manager will be able to help you out)

ok so apparently the line guy at the exchange vanished and their phone was either busy or no one picked of course, so I had to unfortunately resort to calling the helpline and ask them to reset the port etc from the exchange. She seemed to know what I meant and said it would be sorted. Then a few hours later I get those automated calls from PTCL asking if my issue is resolved or not. These are the new stats. Upstream has improved - but ....

Are you by any chance using Smart TV? If so then that could also be the reason why you are capped at 6Mbps (in which case you should go nuts and go to their head office )

Well I did mention the speed, and she made me do a speed test and tell her the upload speed which was 5ish then too. Yes I do have Smart TV, which sometimes effs up if someone uses the phone. GOD what a twisted web! :frown: Head office eh?

Godddddd!! This started happening just now! when someone calls my net disconnects and so does smart TV!! PTCLLLLLLL
