Thanks man. Direct TW user so was wondering how it looked like for PTCL guys because I had a feeling it would look good. Currently this IP address is irrelevant and useless, but I'm assuming AWS will be using this ISP in Bahrain for their servers. Think it's operational in March.

Interestingly, if you ping the second last hop on the PTCL traceroute from your TW connection you will route perfectly so a connection exists but may need some tinkering from the Arab ISP or TW.

Can someone help me fill the complaint form of PTA about my exchange not installing VDSL Card then providing the service. We have the MSAG less than 300m away from house. MSAG was installed approx 4yrs ago.

I'm asking them to upgrade me to VDSL since last 2yrs. I'm very pissed now.

Possible if 10,12 users request for vdsl otherwise they will not install vdsl card

you better visit your exchange in person. In my area they installed new msag with vdsl cards but all my requests were denied with status "not feasible". I visited exchange everyday for 2 weeks then they upgraded my port to vdsl.

Now they are installing hybird msags

anyone who is wondering what is vdsl card and how it is installed here is the link for Huawei MA5600T OLT xDSL subscriber card. In this video you can see engineer is replacing card from cabinet. Just like replacing GPU card in your PC.

having packet loss since thursday in dota 2...every 5-10 mins the game will get stuck, i cant move my hero (I'll get audio and some visual effects)

During that time I get messages in console such as 40-80% packets dropped etc

Today i was crossing the road so one guy in the van testing the msag that was not my areas msag but i talked with him he was checking vdsl speed test and pairing connectivity msag was open but i did not have mobile at that time batteires were installed in msag he said 10 to 15 more days required because copper connections remaining.

He confirm my area msag is also tested and batteries are installed .

ya speed downgrade in peak hours i ask them to change my package that way my port got refreshed i heard before that vdsl/adsl were facing speed issues in peak hours due to lines not capable of handling speed but now fiber user are dealing with same crap

The device (cabinet) I mentioned earlier is a FDH (Fiber Distribution Hub). There's one installed in my area.

Oh and my internet is working! Not on fast path anymore but.. oh well.
@murtaza12, is there fast path for fiber too? If so, how do I get back on it? Last time it took ages to find someone who knew what to do.

yes they can in the specs it is mentioned it is hybrid msag they can deploy copper or fiber. But they are not going to install fiber for single user. I think these msags are deployed to offer vdsl for existing adsl customers using existing copper lines
