Can we backup all the data (including copied games) to external drive from YLOD PS3?

I really dont think if that is possible(the red words)...to do that you will need a working ps3 with a working manager....

U meant that only copied games not possible, other official things r possible? Or if I move my internal HDD from YLOD PS3 to working slim PS3, so all my copied games will still be available or not (since putting HDD in PS3 asking for format first)?

yes it will ask you to format thus copied games will not work....official things are not transferable

yes obv your ps3 was hacked but if for legit people its easy...they games they download via Psn...they can re download then on a new ps3

ok people weird problem I am worried abt..I changed my fat 65nm cpu gpu model's thermal paste and applied it properly the pea method..yet my fans are blowing at a good speed like i wud say 9 or 12v...i thought the temps wud come down yet the fan speed suggests oderwise..is it coz of the weather maybe...my room temps around 27-28 C and sirf fan on hai

im planning to buy PS3 and want to know the latest price of PS3 now a days, coz it was 25K last year for 80Gb, i will be very greatful if any one updates me with the price. store.pakgamers are very expensive asking much more thn the original one. secondly, ive heard tht PS3 has been hacked and pirated downloaded games can be played. any idea what are the price of these games. i know original cost 4k to 5k, but any benefit of this hacked

1. 20GB, 40GB, 80GB, 120GB and 250GB models are out of production, only 160GB and 320GB models are available.
160GB retails for around ~26-27k new and 32GB for around ~30-32k new.

2. PS3 can be jailbroken IF AND ONLY IF the Firmware version running on it is 3.55...
If the FW is greater than 3.55 then you aren't able to hack/jailbreak it.

3. PS3 pirated games cost nothing if you download them yourself and transfer them to the HDD. No disc method is used for pirated games.

4. You cannot play online on a hacked PS3 (DUH), as if you go online with a hacked PS3, your PS3 will be blacklisted and banned from ever getting online again.

If you value online gaming then go for a legit PS3.

If you value offline gaming then try finding a hacked PS3 or a PS3 with FW 3.55 or lower (Ultra Rare for brand new)

Region specificity?

I have a PSN account that falls under UAE.
I currently live in islamabad. My question is that what region blu-rays do I need to get the DLC or online passes activated. Because region 1 clearly doesn't work. I had a battlefield 3 blu ray which was region 2, but the online pass wasn't working. Do I need to get a region 3 blu ray to make it work?
When I got Arkham City, it was region 2 and the DLC worked. So why wasn't battlefield's online pass working? Do I need a region 3 disc for all future games or only EA titles.
and if I buy twisted metal, what region should it be to work online?

Did you buy Battlefield 3 Brand new or used?
Because Online passes are linked to a single PSN ID and they cannot be unlinked and such.

Your account of UAE falls under REGION 2 category.

Like you mentioned, Arkham City DLC worked because if was Region 2 and it worked on your account because your account was Region 2 too.

If your Battlefield 3 game if of any other Region than 2, then you will need to make a respective Region account to redeem online passes and such.

So kindly tell us in detail that:

1. Was BF3 bought used?
2. Is BF3's Region 2?

I had a Fifa 12 R3 ...used the online code and then sold it after playing it for 3-4 months
Now If I buy a Fifa 12 ...does it need to be R3 to play it online or can I just get any Fifa and play it online ?

Online pass like dlc is region locked so you need a R3 copy to play online with that pass.
