iam had make my mind iam not hacking my ps3 .can i buy playstation store card from playstation shop at saddar is this card is available on gaming shops?

plz tell me is ps3 is reliable in pakistan because i had buy ps2 and it laser and button broke in one year and it can not read disk any more is ps3 slim is more reliable than ps2 slim what is it faliure rate

Question !

I recently went back home and shifted from HD to SDTV...

I reset the video settings using the holding down the power button for 5-6secs to get the video back on the screen...

I'm using the composite cable supplied with the PS3...

Now the problem is that the screen is cut off from sides and in most games the display still is in 16:9 mode :/

Like in Killzone 3, I'm getting a letterbox display instead of the display covering the whole screen and ofcourse the SDTV is 4:3 so I get smaller display and text and black zones above and under the display...

Anyway to tweak the settings and all?
Searched google but with no luck or maybe my parameters were wrong

I did check the video settings under system settings but couldn't find anything there...

What aspect ratio did you select after you initially reset the video settings?

If you aren't sure, then go to 'Display Settings->Video Output Settings' and press 'Right'. You'll see a screen that gives you the option of switching between 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratios. Try both and see what works better for you.

Is it just me or is the PS Store movie buying/renting service on the PS3 really not available for us Pakistanis?

Also, after experiencing this for a couple of times, I have noticed that although the PS3 supports "resuming" for "backgrounded" downloads, whenever I resume a download after the PS3 gets turned off as a result of sudden electricity outage(load-shedding), the download turns out corrupted after it finishes.

Is there a way that I can, probably, download the PS Store games on my PC and once done, I can copy them over to the PS3 given that I have already legally purchased a game from PS Store?

Yes on both accounts.
The movies are region locked.
Downloads do get corrupted if there is a sudden electrical outage.
There may be a way to download stuff from your PC to the ps3, somebody just posted a tutorial. I do not know whether it works, will inform as soon as i try it out

need your opinion(s) regarding which games i should buy ( i have options of 2 games ), i made my mind on battlefield: bad company 2 and dead space 2, please tell me are those good choices ( taking their online game-play into account ) if not than which games should i go for, do not mention blackops because its online game-play is terrible ( for pakistanis )

For online i think bad company is way better .Haven't tried dead space 2 online so i would bf bc 2

I have been advised not to get my ps3 modded when I buy one. They say it causes problems in the console later on, can anyone verify this? I'll only buy one if I can get it modified, and i really don't care about playing online.
