The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild surprises with its gorgeous visual effects, spectacular horizons and the vast freedom given to players. Sadly, the open world is often empty and soulless, lacking a proper soundtrack, characters or stories that make for a truly unique experience.
[h=1]Xenoblade Chronicles 2 meets Breath of the Wild for special crossover[/h]
[h=2]The RPG follows in Zelda’s footsteps with DLC too[/h]
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wildwill receive a new side quest and bonus content inspired by Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Nintendo announced during a Direct presentation inspired by the upcoming Switch game. Beginning this Thursday, Nov. 9, Breath of the Wild players will be able to embark upon a special mission that will unlock a new costume for Link. That outfit is inspired by Rex, the hero ofXenoblade Chronicles 2. This is a free update for Breath of the Wild, which should sweeten the deal for those looking for more things to do in the game. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will also benefit from additional quests and content as the months wear on. Nintendo announced that the game will receive an expansion pass, similar toBreath of the Wild’s own downloadable content package. Beginning this December, after the game launches, players will be able to unlock new items. The whole tentative schedule is below — notice that an entire new “story and adventure” will be added in Autumn 2018.
NintendoAlso of note: Xenoblade Chronicles 2’s Japanese-language voice track will be available as a free download on launch day, if you’d rather play the game with its original voice acting. Xenoblade Chronicles 2, the follow-up to Wii and New Nintendo 3DS’ critically acclaimedXenoblade Chronicles, will launch Dec. 1 as a Nintendo Switch exclusive. Update: The expansion pass will cost $29.99, Nintendo revealed in a press release.
[h=1]How to find Breath of the Wild’s Xenoblade 2 armor[/h]
[h=2]Just show up in the right spot, at the right time[/h]
Today’s update for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wildintroduces a new side quest based on Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Here’s how to find the Salvager Headwear, Salvager Vest andSalvager Trousers. What follows includes mild spoilers for The Legend of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild. After you download the free update and immediately upon starting the game you’ll receive a notification that a new quest has been added to your adventure log. You’ll find it under the side quests header. It’s called [Xenoblade Chronicles 2], and includes this riddle.
The southern sky from the middle of the largest bridge. The eastern sky from the skull’s left eye. The southeastern sky from the peak of the tall, pierced snowy mountain.
These are references to locations on the map:
The first refers to the Bridge of Hylia in the middle of Lake Hylia.
The second refers to an island inside Skull Lake — the one with Zuna Kai shrine.
The third refers to the top of Hebra Peak, which is within the Hebra region in the northwest.
Check out our galleries below for the exact locations.
NintendoOnce you’ve reached each location, wait until sometime after 9 p.m. (or light a fire and wait until night) and look to the sky in the appointed direction. If all goes well, a shooting star with a pink trail will fall out of the sky and land in a cloud of dust. Sidle on over and claim your gear.
[h=2]BREATH OF THE WILD’S XENOBLADE 2 ARMOR LOCATIONS[/h]Like the towers and shrines scattered throughout the game world, reaching these locations is all about exploration. They’re also gated, in a way, based in part on player skill but also the number of hearts you have. In order to get very far north in the game, you need to be able to at least outrun a Guardian. For those who have made their rounds on the map, the journey is made much easier by having access to remote shrines.
[h=4]THE SOUTHERN SKY FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE LARGEST BRIDGE[/h]
For the Bridge of Hylia, the closest shrines include Ya Naga and Pumaag Nitae. Alternately, you could just hop up into the Lake Tower and sail on over.
[h=4]THE EASTERN SKY FROM THE SKULL’S LEFT EYE[/h]
For Skull Lake, the easiest fast travel location is Zuna Kai shrine. Otherwise, you’ll have to plod north from Tutsuwa Nima, or east from Gorae Torr. You’ll need to stand on what, to us, sure looks like the right eye. But presumably, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild wants you to think of left and right as if you were the skeleton.
[h=4]THE SOUTHEASTERN SKY FROM THE PEAK OF THE TALL, PIERCED SNOWY MOUNTAIN[/h]
Finally, to reach Hebra Peak you should have already climbed up to reach Goma Asaaghshrine. Otherwise, be sure to unlock it while you’re there. It’s a bit of a hike. You can find the location of all the shrines in our extensive guide.
Once you’ve recovered all of the items — Salvager Headwear, Salvager Vest andSalvager Trousers — you’ll get a boost to your swimming speed when you wear all three. So far, we’ve not found a way to upgrade the armor.
[h=1]Zelda: Breath of the Wild’s second DLC released — and Link has a motorcycle! (update)[/h]
[h=2]Watch the new trailer for The Champions’ Ballad[/h]
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’s second of two expansions, The Champions’ Ballad, will be released tonight, Dec. 7, on Nintendo Switch and Wii U, Nintendo announced tonight during The Game Awards 2017. Players will still take the role of Link in The Champions’ Ballad, although the downloadable content will provide even more of Zelda’s story. Nintendo will release amiibo for the four champions featured in the expansion: the Goron champion Daruk, the Rito champion Revali, the Zora champion Mipha and the Gerudo champion Urbosa. You can watch a new trailer above, which also includes a tease at the end of the Master Cycle Zero — yes, Link can unlock a motorcycle by completing the Divine Beast Tamer’s trials. The Champions’ Ballad will be available as part of Breath of the Wild’s Expansion Pass, which costs $19.99. The other half of the Expansion Pass is the game’s first expansion, The Master Trials, which was released at the end of June. The add-ons are not sold separately; if you want to play either of them, you must buy the full Expansion Pass. Breath of the Wild itself was released in March to widespread critical acclaim; it is one of the best-reviewed games in history. For more, check out our own review and ourcomprehensive guide. Update (Dec. 8):The Champions’ Ballad is now available — the DLC is now listed in the Nintendo eShop with a Dec. 7 release date. (In fairness to Nintendo, it’s still Thursday in most of the U.S.) If you’ve already purchased the Breath of the Wild season pass, check for a patch that will update the game to version 1.4.0 on Switch and Wii U. In addition to adding support for The Champions’ Ballad, the update includes “various fixes to improve gameplay,” according to Nintendo’s patch notes. View image on Twitter

[h=1]Breath of the Wild players are now discovering Link’s inner biker punk[/h]
[h=2]Scorpio rising[/h]
Link has always been cool. In The Champions’ Ballad, the second expansion from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’s season pass, players are discovering just how cool he is, as they discover and share all the rad tricks Link can pull off on his hot new ride. The Master Cycle Zero is Link’s unlockable, vehicular companion that debuts in the DLC. It’s a motorcycle that looks a lot like a unicorn, and it is the definition of what we call “peak aesthetic.” The Master Cycle is more than a pretty face, of course; it can also pull off sweet stunts. A thread of them is collecting on Reddit, thanks to user drr98 kicking things off. In the video below, Link smashes into a Bokoblin’s head, then thrusts the Master Cycle into the air to do a spin.
Sick, bruh. Also sick is this major air caught by Owais Khan on Twitter, who got some props from drr98.
Neither one of them knows quite how to reproduce these stunts, but doesn’t that just play into Link’s badass mystique? Here’s something that’s easier to do yourself. Below is a method to give the Master Cycle a little speed boost when Link hits the brakes: just start doing donuts, man.
But it’s doing the impossible that we love the most. That’s why this tweet from user LeviSwitch seems to be making the rounds. Link fights off an ancient Guardian without ever taking a hit, all thanks to some solid handling of that bike and an amazing amount of air.
Feast Ur eyes on the legend of Zelda which i am playing on NATIVE 4K on my 49" HDR TV ... the new cemu update makes the game never dip below 40fps for me on Native 4k with gtx 1070 .. than again this game was never meant to be played above 30fps hell i have smoother experince than original thing and the 4kish ness is EPIC

If 1070 can play it at 4k/30 .. 1060 should very comfortably do 1080p/30 or even 1440/30 or so. I'll wait for a few more revisions for the emulator and finish my current backlog before playing this on my machine.
JANARIOO .. is the emulator self contained or do you need Bios and plugins like PCSX2 ?

Emulation requires a beefy CPUs, but 30fps should be doable. You do need a "key" which is kind of like the BIOS. Ill PM you the youtube link. Its a great step by step guide and the process isn't difficult. People on ResetEra have finished it on PC without any major drawbacks on the current revision.

Ok Thanks. I've already tested PCSX2 and yeah everything runs at ~1440 equivalent (4~5x native resolution) without any kind of problems at all. Maybe RPCS3 might be pushing it a bit but I'll give this emu a try, seems to be in a lot better state than the PS3 emulator.

It builds upon the Wii emu which was pretty darn good. There are graphics mods and Xbox controller UI mod for BoTW as well. All in all, if you have the hardware for it, easily the best version of the game.
Frame rate is only one indicator. Even with a 100% complete shader cache, there are still occasional stutters on CEMU. Depending on how tolerant one is to stutters in general, it can or can't be considered the smoother experience.
I prefer the stutter free experience on Switch. It does look really nice with high res reflections and shadows on CEMU, though.

Oh yeah, definitely. The CEMU version has its own benefits. It looks better, and if your system can handle 60fps with the triple core recompiler, it also offers more responsive controls.
I also prefer the Switch version for its portability. Completing a shrine is an ideal short-term activity for a handheld device. It's kind of like going through an in-game week of activities in P4: Golden on the Vita
Just downloaded my first legit digital PC game on GoG at a discount of $8: Two Point Hospital. The same team behind Theme Hospital Two Point Studios now part of Sega. And I am having more fun than most recent AAA games except of course BG3.
Still, I don't like either Sony or Microsoft as they are focusing more on corporate greed than delighting customers. PC gaming is best of gaming and worth every penny.
PC Gamer score of 58/100 for Hellblade 2??? Is it really worse than Gollum that was 64/100? Microsoft games can't even come close to high scores of Sony exclusives apparently.
About the Microsoft (and Sony) debate, I feel both have become too greedy and losing their minds over corporate greed. Personally, I will never buy any console next gen and switch to PC gaming where democracy reins.
The only valid thing from his pov he said in the video is AC dead since Black Flag. According to woke police that game was woke too. Welsh man in West Indies. So atleast he's consistent I guess lol
