This was an actual case that happened at ND.
Im not offended by anything in that trailer really. But to act like its a normal occurrence is just blinding yourself of the point here. Nathan and elena relationship was a central theme in UC4 story. Iirc, the in game kiss wasnt showed on stage infront of the biggest audience. But even if it was, would it really have the same impact on the audience as it does here? Obviously not. Even the first remark coming from Chandoo on the trailer was about that kiss. Why? What was so out of the ordinary about it esp since we already know EllieÂ’s sexual orientation from The Left Behind DLC? ND wants people to talk to about it. And for some reason fanboys here wana shrug it off because anyone who talks about it is obviously homophobic.
Actually some people arenÂ’t impressed by the details coming from the demo either. General reception of the developer and their games is precisely why practically every press impression coming out is exceptional from the people who have actually seen the demo. Nothing wrong if you wana hold out to see the demo yourself, but how much do you wana bet the criticism wonÂ’t end there?
So someone cannot level criticism at TLoU 2 based on their personal dislikes regarding TLoU 1? This does not make any sense to me.
That case is irrelevant to the game, so the point stands. It was needlessly brought up to attack the game.
Ah, the kiss again. It was a normal occurrence except that it was not heterosexual. Those who made it a problem or were unusually effected (offended) by it can't hold ND responsible for not conforming to their prejudices. The people talking about it are usually the ones who are offended and their shitfest is clearly noticeable on various websites (Gamespot actually had to close the comments on TLoU II trailer). What was so extraordinary about it that gamers were so easily offended given that every other game is based on conventional romance and relationships? [emoji6] Maybe ND wants to get rid of discriminatory people from it's fan base? Speculation, just like your claim that they are seeking attention and want people to talk about it. Even if they want that, nobody said it can't be talked about. I'm talking about it the most here probably. It's just that throwing random words like lesbo, political brainwashing, LGBT agenda, etc., is not the level of discourse I'm interested in. In the absence of good arguments and the fact that some people are dismissing the game or that scene due to personal offence, i think it's more than fair to suspect homophobic tendencies (not referring to you). Anyway, that was the most realistic kiss I've ever seen in games, in terms of animations, expressions, and build up. [emoji14] This is why I was interested in the kiss honestly and I think this is what actually is relevant to the game.
If some people aren't impressed by TLoU II, well, good for them. I'm sure you've come across similar views on Cyberpunk here and elsewhere. I'm happy that the critics are liking Cyberpunk and I want to see it myself not out of suspicion but excitement. Criticism will never end but then why should it? All I'm saying is that let's keep the criticism constructive and relevant to the game. Finally, you can totally criticise TLoU (II) based on your personal taste. This is what I contrasted with presenting your opinion as a fact. You can see above how people think ND is going down with its game, an assertion that flies in the face of evidence.
