Thanks for the prompt response. I'm still undecided on whether I want to play FF or not but I'd like to know which server region you guys are playing so I know where I can find some people to group or play with. I tend to dislike grind and grindy games. I'm not big on lore but it helps if there is a sense of direction to the events in game. I wanted to buy the american version of the game but it wouldn't let me. I have yet to convince myself to play almost twice for the same game as Euro is more expensive than Dollar.

So which region is best for us, playing from Pakistan, US or Europe or Asia? If anyone has bought the game, which region server are they playing on? I tend to pick pacific time servers since it is easy for me to figure out their timings.

havent tried the jap region for this game so no idea about pings there..generally in MMOs its better for us pakistanis to be playing on the EU region..as for being unable to buy well thats because they have temporarily stopped digital sales due to heavy server traffic...and the game is region free so even if you buy from NA, you can play on EU or NA or JAP servers(although NA region game can only be redeemed on NA Square Enix Account)

We play very casually though. You can make one character per world for the regular subscribers. Just play wherever you want.

flexible class system? you can combine skills/spells of different classes..like my archer can use skills of lancers etc

if you liked GW2 then its possible that you might not like this..it takes you back to the target and fire MMOs..WoW type ones whereas guild wars 2 was VERY fast paced and action oriented

sure..IF you can get in all the servers are full, you cant even make any new characters..they are upgrading the data centres though(one downfall of cross platform gameplay...the traffic increases by a huge number)
