20 paisa "per sms"

0.20/sms...

20 paisa doesn't seems much but considering that an average sms is 2-3 message long and the sms list ....20-30 people...OMG..... don't touch that cell phone...hahahahaha

no more free packages...wonder what will the mobile companies do????

In the line of fire
I don't send SMS so I'm not likely to give a damn about this.

But I will give a damn to this PPP government, imposing taxes on average citizens to

a) do corruption
b) fill their own pockets
c) prepare for more foreign tours
d) shake hands with VP candidates & tell them how hot they are &............. not letting average citizen share the fun

And all of that on average citizens' expense and not bringing those big businessmen, landlords and whatever the f*** into tax net.

Its outrageous.

Wow Chhowni
Taxes on sms won`t hit anyone hard, so i won`t say it`s such a bad decision. after all, sms has become something of a luxury item nowadays. my mobile rings every other second because of these sms`s.
For me, it`s a relief to be honest.

one more thing that's odd is they decreased duty on cell phones but increased on digital cameras :S really weird, what's the logic behind it?

haha did u guys know we are among one of those nations with the lowest tax to gdp ratio....we've been off taxes since a long long while our sms rates will still be cheaper compared to several highly developed nations such as even UK...its just that we dont like paying money from our pockets...everyones wants to see the tax burden as an increase while no one dares go through the budget to find theres been some tax relief too...

our tax collection stands at 9% of the total GDP and well fine the politicians might eat the money etc but you guys ignore the fact that NAWAZ SHARIF is an enemy to the PPP at any chance he would destroy them from their roots and he has that chance while sitting at the TOP of the PUBLIC ACCOUNTS COMMITTEE...now will nawaz not look for loopholes to destroy the reputation of this government and get it removed by finding evidence that this government is funneling money into their pockets? but has something like that happened? dont u think the ppp would need to play safe with public money this time, especially when the opposition leader is the guy overseeing each and everyone of their transactions?

Funny how u cud blame for the sake of blaming but logic implies that nawaz would rape the ppp if given the chance and in this lengthy period nawaz has found nothing in terms of financial irregularity while sitting at the helm of the pac? the new conspiracy theory u ppl will now doctor will be as follows nawaz is in on the take....Go ahead u can work that theory guys :) if thats what provides u satisfaction....

You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
