I think what he meant was that there's nothing in the S4 that justifies a 30k price increase over S3. You get a slightly souped up internal hardware, nothing else.
Isn't this what companies do?
Apple released iPhone 5 with one more row of icons and with
slightly souped up internal hardware, while charging about the same amount over 4S.
Some people did raise the same point and never upgraded to iP5 but that never stopped liking (and buying) the iPhone 5.
Why the discrimination when it came down to S4? Which is practically a much better phone over S3 (and indeed costs more to build than iP5).
Don't let the 'looks' fool you because i have personally held one S4 (for 10 seconds or so) and i could confidently say that its not only handles better, have a better build, solid feel but is also a better performer. Add the fact that its new hardware and newly launched phone. So price is supposed to be that high initially.
