well by the end arrows season finale could had been the end of it and i would had been OK but FLASH damn it FLASH ! that cliffhanger NEED MORE FLASH ! :D

could had ended arrow and dc's legends of tomorrow could had picked up ! now im totally unaware of what season 4 of arrow would have in store for us, plus already said a lighter tone it will have so hmm
I'm afraid that Arrow season 4 might suck.

Thanks to DC/WB ruining it, and suicide squad.
‘Arrow’ Had Big Plans for Harley Quinn Before ‘Suicide Squad’ Film

No wonder, no more deadshot or other suicide squad members thanks to DC. The movie verse, and tv verse are different, and arrow should be free to choose what kind of characters they want to use :/

No wonder Arrow suddenly got all shitty. Maybe they had different plans for season 3 and had to change the script at the last minute because of all these developments in DCs movie-verse?
Seriously, it really looked like the writers had no idea what to do with season 3, and considering the fact that these are the same writers who brought us 2 very good seasons, it kinda makes sense now as to why Arrow suddenly started to suck balls. I agree, Gintoki. The TV-verse should have its own space and freedom.

This show is too cheesy for my tastes. Though its much better than most of the crap which is airing at the moment.
I'm willing to check out a few more episodes when it's releases in november, to see if it gets any better, and I'm willing to give it a chance, since it's from the same creators, who created Arrow/Flash.

[h=1]‘Supergirl’ TV Series Gets October 2015 Premiere Date[/h]

Certain DC/Vertigo comic book-based television shows that debuted in 2014 will live on for another season (Gotham, The Flash), but there were some casualties among that freshman class (Constantine), as well as some relatively unexpected successes (iZombie). The DC/Vertigo small screen universe will only be growing larger over the forthcoming months, with one of the most noteworthy additions poised to be CBS’ Supergirl series.
Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist (Glee) as Kara Zor-El, the cousin to Superman/Kal-El and a Kryoptonian who has spent years passing herself off as your average young adult woman, when she decides to use her super-powers at last – and help defend the people of Earth from a variety of threats. The Supergirl pilot may’ve already leaked online, but now we know exactly when the premiere episode will be made available for viewing to the masses (officially, rather than by way of piracy, that is).

From The Web

CBS has confirmed that the Supergirl pilot will air on CBS on October 26th, 2015, as was confirmed on Twitter via a video featuring Benoist (see above). The show will debut at 8:30 pm (EST) that Monday night, following a special air time for a new episode of the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory – a ratings giant that, in theory, will help drive more people to watch Benoist as Kara’s small screen debut when it first airs. Thereafter, Supergirl episodes will air at 8 p.m. (EST) on Mondays starting in November, as was previously reported.
Benoist will of course be headlining Supergirl on a weekly basis. She will lead a cast that includes Calista Flockhart (Ally McBeal) as Cat Grant, Kara’s boss and a powerful CEO; Mehcad Brooks (True Blood) as a more experienced version of photojournalist Jimmy Olsen, who helps Kara find her superhero feet; Chyler Leigh (Grey’s Anatomy) as Alexandra ‘Alex’ Danvers, Kara’s foster sister and a successful doctor; and David Harewood (Homeland) as Hank Henshaw, a CIA agent who monitors extraterrestrial activity on Earth (and, if the show sticks to the traditional comic book canon, a future super-villain).

Reactions to the six-and-a-half minute Supergirl trailer have been all across the board, much like responses to the show’s very existence in general. Some have argued that the series has the potential to be another bright, upbeat, and good-natured take on the superhero genre, recalling The CW’s The Flash (which was made by most of the same producers behind Supergirl). Many others, however, feel the show is shaping up to be little more than a hollow attempt to exploit the demand for a feminist, women-led, DC superhero program (for more, see the SRU Podcast’s dissection of the trailer).
Supergirl, as indicated before, was created and/or produced by Arrow and The Flash personnel Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg, as well as Ali Adler (No Ordinary Family, Chuck). There’s a pretty solid collective body of work between those three producers alone, which bodes well for this new DC superhero series – but that doesn’t guarantee that the early criticisms will prove to have been off-target, mind you.
Nonetheless, Supergirl is poised to start off strong, with its special air time and the pre-debut buzz (good and bad); how it holds up thereafter (when it airs during the same time frame on Mondays as FOX’s Gotham), is another matter.

Supergirl
will premiere on CBS at 8:30 p.m. EST on October 26th, 2016. It will air at 8 p.m. EST on Mondays thereafter.

[h=1]‘Supergirl’ Casts ‘Twilight’ Actor as Maxwell Lord[/h]

The Warner Bros TV and DC panel in at Comic-Con gave fans a chance to hear Warner Bros. and DC producers/actors discuss their existing shows such as Arrow, The Flash and Gotham, as well as giving away bits of information for their upcoming TV releases Legends of Tomorrow, Vixen and Supergirl .
Supergirl is set to premiere October 26th on CBS, but there has already been much talk and hype surrounding the series, not least since it was the victim of an online leak back in May. During their part in the “A Night of DC Entertainment” panel, the Supergirl team did not discuss the leak but focused instead on the upcoming release of the show, with executive producer Ali Adler describing Supergirl as a “story that needs to be told.” She also said that a show led by a female superhero was “long overdue,” with fellow executive producer Greg Berlanti adding that they are doing it right and following the comic books, so it will be interesting to see how their new casting announcement fits within the show.

Peter Facinelli (Can’t Hardly Wait, Twilight) is to join the Supergirl team in the recurring role of Maxwell Lord, a character from the comics described as “sometimes a villain, sometimes a hero.” In the comic stories, Maxwell Lord is a powerful businessman who has strong links to the Justice League. According to the official announcement of Facinelli’s casting, in Supergirl, Lord will be incorporated as a “Green tech billionaire who enjoys a friendly rivalry with Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart) and a fascination with National City’s newest arrival — Supergirl.”
Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said:
“Greg [Berlanti], Ali [Adler] and I have been fans of Peter for years. We’re beyond thrilled to have him join us on Supergirl’s first adventures bringing the iconic Maxwell Lord to life.”
Adler has worked with Facinelli before, since she served as executive producer on Glee, where Facinelli appeared in a guest role during season 5. The same show, of course, featured Supergirl herself, Melissa Benoist, for two seasons.

Given that they have confirmed their intention to follow the comics, it will be interesting to see how far Supergirl decides to push the villainous side of Facinelli’s character. The original character suggests a dark, brooding presence, and indeed, Maxwell Lord once murdered his friend and former teammate, Blue Beetle, by shooting him in the head. However, the description of his TV persona, as a man who has merely a “fascination” with Supergirl, seems to suggest that maybe they’re going with the earlier (read: lighter) version of the character.
Supergirl also screened the pilot episode at Comic-Con, and the early fan reaction seems overwhelmingly positive if Twitter is anything to go by. With the timeline established (we know that the TV show cannot exist within the DC cinematic universe), plenty of hype surrounding costumes, casting, the female-led superhero genre and the promise of two more villains, it seems as though Supergirl could well be a massive hit for DC when it airs this Fall.
Supergirl premieres October 29 @8:30pm on CBS, and then will air regularly on Mondays at @8pm.

[h=1]‘Supergirl': Is Superwoman Joining the Show?[/h]

CBS is set to throw its hat in the superhero ring later this year with Supergirl, the latest in the seemingly endless parade of DC Comics television adaptations. The series was co-created by Greg Berlanti of The Flash/Arrow fame and tells the story of Kryptonian Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist) as she struggles to fit in on an alien planet while keeping her amazing powers in check.
After the pilot was shown to the public at San Diego Comic-Con, it became clear that the supporting cast is one of the strong points of the series. The series notably features James Olsen (Mehcad Brooks), a former Daily Planet photographer who is now working with Kara at CatCo. It’s been clear since the first trailer that Olsen will be a love interest for Kara. However, it now seems that she’ll have stiff competition in that regard – perhaps even super-powered competition.

TV Line claims that in the third episode of the upcoming series, Lucy Lane will be introduced as a recurring character. The character is the sister of Lois Lane and is described as being as beautiful as her famous sister, but smart, funny and successful in her own right. Additionally, as in the comics, Lucy will be an ex-girlfriend of James Olsen.
The character was originally created in 1959 and has appeared on and off in DC Comics continuity since. Lucy has changed over the years, going from an airline stewardess to a soldier in the military. Her most notable role in the comics, however, is her time as Superwoman.
During her military service, Lucy rose rapidly through the ranks. However, when she is nearly killed by two Amazons, she is placed in Project 7734 by her father Sam Lane. He convinces her to put on the Superwoman suit, which possesses mystical qualities and alters her DNA to align with Kryptonian DNA. She has all of the powers of Superman, but the suit protects her from his inherent weaknesses (such as Kryptonite).

Will Lucy Lane adopt her Superwoman persona during this series? It seems unlikely at this point. Her powers are nearly identical to those of Supergirl and introducing a second character with the same abilities will detract from her development over the season. That said, bringing Lucy into the series this early would give the writers the opportunity to effectively implement that plotline in later seasons.
Considering Kara’s crush on Olsen, it’s more likely that Lucy Lane will be introduced to create a love triangle in the series. It’s a subplot that Berlanti has used repeatedly in his other DC shows, with mixed success. With the input of executive producer Ali Adler (Chuck) and her experience creating funny/relatable relationship drama, this series may have a better chance of successfully integrating that subplot into the story.
Supergirl premieres on October 26th, 2015 on CBS.

[h=1]‘Supergirl’ Episode 2 Begins Production; New Poster Released[/h]

By the time the pilot episode of CBS’ new DC Comics-based show Supergirl screened at San Diego Comic-Con 2015, quite a lot of people had already seen the leaked version that appeared online in mid-June. The pilot has so far received mixed responses from both audiences and critics, with some offering high praise and others not quite so enamored.
Of course, a pilot episode isn’t always the best measure of what a series will be like. A pilot often acts as a pitch for a full series, meaning that the writers have to cram in a lot of backstory and basic character set-up, while further episodes have a bit more breathing room. As such, the real test of Supergirl will be whether or not showrunners Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Ali Adler can keep audiences hooked throughout the first season.

That mission begins now, as Adler has announced on Twitter that the second episode of Supergirl begins filming this week. The rest of the season will reportedly introduce super-villain Reactron and Lucy Lane a.k.a. Superwoman, and Peter Facinelli recently joined the cast as businessman Maxwell Lord. Now that filming has started up again, we’re expecting to hear more casting news in the coming weeks.
To celebrate the occasion, CBS has released a new poster for Supergirl featuring what appears to be a tribute to comic book artists who haven’t quite got the hang of perspective. Thus, Kara soars through the air majestically with one massive arm that ends in a fist the same size as her head. There’s also something rather strange going on with her knees. Let this be a lesson that Photoshop duties shouldn’t be left to the office intern.

Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist as Kara Zor-El, a Kryptonian trying to live a normal life in National City under the Earth name Kara Danvers. When a potential disaster forces Kara to show off her formidable powers, she decides to embrace her superhero status in order to help the people of Earth. The show also stars Mehcad Brooks, Calista Flockhart, David Harewood, Jeremy Jordan and Chyler Leigh.
Since Kreisberg and Berlanti spearheaded the creation of the shared DC TV universe over on The CW, there has been plenty of discussion and speculation surrounding the possibility that Supergirl will eventually join The Flash, Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow as part of that universe. This has neither been confirmed nor completely written off yet, so it will be interesting to see whether Supergirl‘s first season keeps that option open or clearly defines itself as a standalone show.
Supergirl premieres on CBS at 8:30 p.m. EST on October 26th, 2015. It will air at 8 p.m. EST on Mondays thereafter.

[h=1]Supergirl Shows Off Super-Strength in New Set Photos[/h]

As we move towards the tail end of the summer, Warner Bros. Television is hard at work putting together a full slate of shows for the fall season. DC Comics fans can look forward to season four of Arrow, sophomore seasons of The Flash and Gotham, and the first seasons of Lucifer and Supergirl. The latter show began filming its second episode this week, and a behind-the-scenes featurette promised a lot of spectacle on the way.
Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist as Kara Zor-El, a Kryptonian trying to live a normal life on Earth while her famous cousin soaks up fame and glory. Supergirl has the same powers as Superman – she’s nearly invincible, has super-strength and super-speed, and can fly – but keeps her abilities hidden until a near-disaster forces her to use them in front of everybody and take on a new role as a superhero.

In the pilot episode of Supergirl, which has leaked online and was also screened at San Diego Comic-Con this year, Kara uses her powers to catch and safely land a plane that’s about to crash. Compared to that feat, lifting an ambulance with one hand isn’t such a big deal, but that’s exactly what Kara is doing in a new batch of Supergirl set photos that have appeared on a Melissa Benoist fan site.
These photos are presumably from the second episode of Supergirl, which is being filmed in Los Angeles. When she’s not effortlessly holding up heavy vehicles, Benoist can be seen getting the superhero hair treatment from a wind machine, walking her pet dog Milli and having lip gloss reapplied.

Supergirl also stars Mehcad Brooks, Chyler Leigh, David Harewood, Jeremy Jordan and Calista Flockhart, and showrunner duties fall to Ali Adler (Chuck) and The CW’s Andrew Kreisberg and Greg Berlanti (Arrow). In the comic books Kara is mostly based in Metropolis, but in order to avoid including Superman as a prominent character Supergirl‘s Kara will instead be the protector of National City, a new location created for the TV show. “National City General Hospital” can be seen on the side of the ambulance. We hope to bring you more sneak peeks into the making of Supergirl as production continues, and you can catch the show on TV later this year.Supergirl premieres on CBS at 8:30 p.m. EST on October 26th, 2015. It will air at 8 p.m. EST on Mondays thereafter.Source: MBenoist.com.br (via CBM)

[h=1]‘Supergirl': ‘Sons of Anarchy’ Actor Chris Browning Cast As Reactron[/h]

Fan reactions to the initial footage of CBS’s upcoming Supergirl TV show have been quite divisive, well ahead of the series’ premiere on the network. The show’s pilot – which leaked online before being screened at the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con (read our review) – has given us a clearer picture of what shape the DC Comics adaptation will start with, at the beginning of its freshman season.
Already well into production, Supergirl continues to take form, with the recent addition of Peter Facinelli as Maxwell Lord, a recurring character who’s sure to make some trouble for the show’s costumed hero. However, today brings news of another cast addition that could serve as one of the main villains of season one.

According to THR, Chris Browning – who appears in several episodes of Sons of Anarchy as Gogo – has joined the show as Ben Krull, better known as the villainous Reactron. On Supergirl, the character will reportedly head to National City hunting Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist) in order to get revenge on Superman. Browning will make his first appearance as a guest star in episode 3 and will likely become a recurring character thereafter.

We’ve known for a while Reactron will make an appearance in Supergirl‘s first season, but it’s still unclear what liberties Supergirl will take with his portrayal. In the comics, Reactron dons a nuclear-powered suit of armor to battle the Man of Steel and other DC heroes, but it’s possible that the show may change his origin story to be more extra-terrestrial in nature. After all, the show’s pilot focuses heavily on alien threats to Earth.
Regardless, adding a character like Reactron could be a smart way for Supergirl to tie itself to the larger Superman mythos without actually having the Man of Steel show up onscreen. It stands to reason that enemies like Reactron would be out for vengeance against Superman, and that (in the Supergirl live-action television universe) his less experienced cousin would seem an easier target than Kal-El himself.
Browning – a TV veteran who has also appeared on shows like Ray Donovan and From Dusk Till Dawn in recent years – should thus have some juicy villain role material to draw from here, which is a bonus for the small screen character actor.

Supergirl
premieres on CBS at 8:30 p.m. EST on October 26th, 2015. It will air at 8 p.m. EST on Mondays thereafter.Source: THR

[h=1]‘Supergirl’ TV Show Casts Jenna Dewan-Tatum as Lucy Lane[/h]

As superheroes continue their increasing hold on the television landscape, all eyes seem to be turning to Supergirl. The CBS series – which stars Melissa Benoist as Superman’s younger cousin – has received an incredible amount of flack ever since the first footage debuted, proving to be one of the more divisive comic book-inspired shows in recent years (well before its network premiere).
Nevertheless, Supergirl‘s October 2015 premiere is nearing ever closer, and as it does, we are learning more and more about what to expect from the show beyond its pilot episode (read our review). Production has already restarted for the television program, and we have confirmation about another new cast member who could end up having a major presence on the show during its freshman season.

THR is reporting that Jenna Dewan-Tatum has joined the cast of Supergirl in the recurring role of Lucy Lane. The younger sister of Lois Lane, Lucy is often portrayed in the comics as a love interest of Jimmy Olsen, and with Mehcad Brooks playing Olsen on the new show, she will reportedly have a history with his character that mirrors this dynamic.
Dewan – who will first appear in Supergirl episode three – recently starred on the short-lived Lifetime series Witches of East End, as well as the (also short-lived) NBC crime/drama The Playboy Club. She also had a recurring role on American Horror Story‘s second season (Asylum) and previously shared the screen with her husband, Channing Tatum, in such films as Step Up and 10 Years.

It has previously been reported that Lucy Lane would be appearing on the Supergirl TV show, but the question remains as to whether or not the character will assume her alter-ego of Superwoman (as she does in the DC source comics). Likely, Supergirl will simply start off with Lucy as a non-powered side character before considering to introduce her superpowers. After all, the focus this first season needs to be on establishing Supergirl on her own. If the show succeeds, there will plenty of time to introduce subsequent heroes.
That being said, perhaps bringing in more than one superhero out the gate could help boost interest in Supergirl. It’s entirely possible that the showrunners are going out of their way to bring in Lucy Lane in the event that they need to amp up the show’s spectacle with some version of Superwoman. Regardless, the fact that the character is reportedly coming to town to “right a previous wrong” and will be introduced in the first episode to feature Chris Browning as Ben Krull – a.k.a. the super-villain Reactron – may be telling.
Supergirl premieres on CBS at 8:30 p.m. EST on October 26th, 2015. It will air at 8 p.m. EST on Mondays thereafter.
