hopefully they expand in lahore to my area as well(near model town link road)... i am using fiberlink, even though they are cheap with great speeds, the downtime is really letting me down... 50mbps download and 30mbps upload is great, but that down time

Because your dont have a private/dynamic ip , stormfiber by default is sharing 1 ip with 30-50 ppl , you are behind NAT and their own network firewall.
But you can see the tracert results .
DC problem for blizzard servers on tw is resolved now , i am not facing problems since 2 days.

Stormfiber 1 week complete. ZERO disconnects. ZERO downtime. It's insane. Is this first world! No stutters, no choking, stream perfectus. Pings stay +-1 at most.

EU= 130-135 ms
SEA= 74 ms

Moreover, I can download, upload, game and watch streams all at the same time while letting others at home use the same connection.

Haven't been happier with my nets since Maxcom.

DHA Phase 4-7.

For the last 2 days, EU pings have shot up to 200-220 ms constant. There are no spikes/disconnects, but it makes gaming a tad bit frustrating. I haven't emailed SF yet - hoping it resolves on its own. But I might in a couple more days. Singapore is still 70 ms doe so there's that ;D

Streaming on Twitch is random for now. Sometimes it works perfectly on High/source. Sometimes it doesn't - I just switch to medium then.

YouTube etc are fine.

Don't know about battle.net pings, but YouTube 1080p is a breeze. I have the 20mb package and sometimes it easily streams 4k streams as well.

At least it works when it works! My internet has been super slow for a few weeks now.

So i got storm fibre. everything great, youtube 1080 is a breeze.. BUT then tv show streaming is awful. no streaming link works properly. Too frustrating.

Technical support says my connection is all good and that they are checking the links. But that is ridiculous as with ptcl it used to work without any issue.

This is a deal breaker for me.........


Any solutions????

Try using Google or OpenDNS.

Google Primary: 8.8.8.8
Google Secondary: 8.8.4.4

Open Primary: 208.67.222.222
Open Secondary: 208.67.220.220

Let me know if you need help applying them to one device or if you want every device connected to your router to use your preferred DNS servers.

That's up to you.

You can either use these DNS only on your PC, or for every device connected to the StormFiber router.

To use them on your PC, open up the Network and Sharing center, go to adapter settings, right click on the Ethernet adapter if you're connected through an Ethernet cable or right click on the wireless card if you're connected through WiFi. Click the properties option, a new window will open, scroll down and find IPv4. Leave the IP address fields blank so they're assigned automatically, click the DNS fields and add whichever one you feel like from the two that I mentioned earlier.

Once you have, keep clicking OK and close all windows.
Then, press the Windows Key + R at the same time and in the box type 'cmd'
(Without quotation marks)

Command Prompt window will open up, in that, type the following:

ipconfig /flushdns

Hit enter. Close the window.

Clear browsing history and cache from the past hour.

Open up the streaming website of your choice and try now.

The process might seem like it's going to take forever, but it can be done in less than 3 minutes.
