it was only when i travelled back to pakistan and had to carry the laptop all the way from the airport entrance to the plane *snip* i realised what a big mistake it was to keep this as a primary and only pc.
Which is exactly why its a desktop replacement laptop. People think its a laptop, so yeah you can carry it anywhere, but there you have it. First hand experience with a heavy duty laptop.
I don't remember buying any hardware recently that I regret now. My CPU cooler ($50) and my CM690 ($70 w/5 fans) was my last best investment...and TX750 before that (sold my noisy OCZ GameXstream 700W for $90 and bought this new one for $110). Im pretty much happy with whatever I've got MashaAllah
But oh wait, there is this one software I bought for $80. I lost over 300GB of data by accidentally formatting my hard drive, so I panicked and bought this professional software which recovered every little KB of my data from a formatted hard drive. But now Im regretting buying it coz I never have to use it since im more careful with my data. Still I believe such an investment is for accidental purposes where you lose your back ups, so it never hurts to have such a software with you. So it was a partially regrettable decision for me. (if that makes sense)
I'm still not clear on that.
I stated the max transfer rates for a PATA interface. Have those speeds ever been achieved?
You objected to my statement where I said SATA dvd drives are faster than IDE...and I gave you benchmarks for it. The rest of your statement is a different discussion altogether.
