Ugh why the heck are people suggesting a Galaxy S2? Locked bootloader or not, the One X is certainly lightyears ahead of a Galaxy S2. Don't even make the mistake of considering an outdated phone.

well in that price range oneX is the best choice... go for the best... even if it is second hand, as it will last longer...

Used Galaxy S3 can be bought in/under 40k these days easily. I consider S3 to be the only leading phone in the market right now. So in my opinion, if one needs to spend that much money, he should spend it wisely and get a better product i.e. S3.

Strictly in 35k range, there aren't many good choices. One X and Galaxy Nexus seem to be quite good contenders.

yousaf465.... Nice comparison there mate. Now I am more inclined towards buying a Galaxy Series phone. And also you are quite right about the non-replaceable battery part of OneX. Bricking it will be a real pain.
abobobilly... You also seem to be recommending Galaxy S3. But I have heard that it has certain 'Sudden Death' issues? Also how much a used galaxy S3 will retail for in a good and respectable condition? I might be able to stretch my budget after all in order to accommodate a second hand S3. :)

Aaah yes.... My friend also complains about his OneX that it has a 'WiFi issue' but I thought that it might be a problem with his cell phone only. The only complaint of his that remained in my mind was of that HTC OneX battery drains quite quickly. :(

actually last week my brother went to mall of lahore to meet his friend .
there is htc service centre on basement floor where he saw two guys filling warranty claim form for their htc one x's wifi issues, they told my bro that this issue is quite common in quad core version of htc one x.

Samsung is offering free MB replacement even for rooted/CFW running SDS galaxy S3. Also no case has been reported so far from Pakistan.

Just avoid avoid sets with H/W 1.100 and VT**** chip. Also try to find 32Gb version (just Rs3K+ for new)

Thanks for the heads up mate. Can you kindly tell me the way through which I will be able to identify the mentioned specs on a Samsung Galaxy S3? Those I need to avoid. And for how much can I get a used S3 for? In a good condition?

Since most of the people here were recommending Galaxy S3, I finally went ahead and bought it (by the Grace of ALLAH). Special thanks to yousaf465, AsadAbrar and abobobilly for recommending this awesome device :p.

Bought it new in titanium grey color. (sm1)
