You are right, but due to the advances in Quantum and Relativity theories, I guess it wont be too much outstretched. Red shifts are used to calculate the distance of galaxies, and there have been theories by scientists of 1900 era that have been proving right. Particles like Higgs Boson and Strings are on the verge of being discovered.

Mind boggling.

According to American scientists.. The universe is anywhere around 80Bil light years (the distance light travels in an year)... And still expanding. We, our solar system or our galaxy are literally invisible. Our galactic plate or galaxy, the Milky Way is 100000 light years long and about 10k light years thick. The biggest galaxy found is 6million light years big and is still swallowing other galaxies to get bigger.. FYI the light travels the distance between sun and earth i.e 93mil miles in just 8minutes..

Bow to the creator of the universe (bow).. he created this in just a few days!


PS: I know this because I read about it all the time lol.
