@Pseudonym Thanks for the response. And am I right to assume that you are also a fan of the UK PS Plus for the quality and quantity of free games offered each month compared to US account's offerings? Would you also suggest it despite its slightly higher price?

Yes the UK one is definitely the one to go with unfortunately I'm pretty much wedlocked to my US PS Plus account at this point.

Yes, it absolutely makes sense in my opinion. Just made me realize that I would want to use the same primary account on the PS4. I suppose that's not an issue as I can always deactivate the account on the PS3 just before I plan on using online content on the PS4 and vice versa. My friend could do the same, got it.

I don't think they've announced anything relating to this, but one would assume PS4 content would have 2 slots of its own.

I would suggest you wait before sharing the PSN account! As at a given time only two consoles can be activated. It will come to a point when those systems will be your PS3 and YOUR PS4. Unless you plan to completely ditch the PS3 when PS4 comes, game sharing is not a viable option.

Dude I don't think the PS4 is going to replace the 2nd slot of your account (just like how the Vita doesn't do that either). You'll still be able to use your PS+ account on your PS4 to acquire the IGC even if that account already is activated on two PS3 systems. The slots of PS3 systems and the slots for PS4 systems will most likely be different. So he can still share his PS+ account with his friend, it won't affect his future PS4 purchase.

However, my question to you remains the same..is it SAFE and PRUDENT to get PS PLUS on one's primary account which is also going to be used to share nearly all downloaded full games as well as free games courtesy of the PS PLUS service? If not, is there a reason, other than what you already mentioned, why you would want to suggest making a separate account for this purpose?

I'd get PS+ on my main account if I wanted to but my main account is the wrong region. It's up to you if you want to make a separate account for your PS+. I personally find no problem with making my main account into a PS+ account and sharing it with people I know and trust. It's completely safe and Sony won't do anything to you, it's under fair use.

Though I agree with Dr Beowulf that you should make separate accounts if you wish to purchase AAA games like GTA V. You'll be able to sell those accounts off if you like.

You can only deactivate it once every 6 months. You can activate it any as many times you please, though you can only activate an account on a PS3 while you're on the PS3. And yes, you have 3 systems activated on your account. Do you recall who and who?

Activating 3 systems at one given time ain't possible. It shows 3 systems, but what that means is that 3 ps3 systems are using your ps3 id and password now. i know it seems confusing, but i am talking from experience.

Leme tell you what happened with me, i got walking dead game from one account (6months back), shared it with one friend from karachi. After he finished it, i though to share it with another friend (omyakha), so i deactivated the systems online. And omy was able to download and play it flawlessly. Now my ps3 with walking dead account activated, got spoiled(couldn't deactivate as it would get on xmb), and i got a new one, tried to download the game and play it, but it showed me already 2 accounts activated, deactivate one to continue. So i am pretty sure what i am talking about, as its from personal experience.

That is what the site is their for, deactivate all accounts, and reactivate on ps3 of your choosing. Give it a try.

As it is all speculation at this point, seems like we will have to wait and find out. Though better safe than sorry.

It just wouldn't make any sense if you only got two slots per account for both systems and not for each system.

I have many games downloaded from my friends account.Since i got ps3.No problem for me.But not sure about ps+.But you can download your saves to ur friends ps3 with ps+ maybe games can be shared too..

@Hassan Aftab that is exactly why i said that, you never know when sony start banning ppl for account sharing but so far i haven't really heard any serious NEWS about it.

Btw if u de-activate that THIRD ps3 system from your account you won't be able to activate another ps3 system on that account since the limit on the new account policy now is MAX TWO, so yeah keep that in mind, all who are sharing before the policy are unaffected but after de-activiating u never know
