Thats some effort you just put there. Nicely written.

The ease of use it provides its users is just damn good.

BUT, why would you compare it with MP Classic? I mean ... comon, you cannot compare it with THAT cheap player or can you?

And you also mentioned VLC down there. You should exclude this one, because you have no idea what VLC actually is. The Default video in VLC may look dull, but after some adjustments, it becomes just marvelous.

However, i must admit ... the features Splash Pro provides you, it reminds me of Intervideo WinDVD Player ... which was later acquired by Corel, and later named as CorelDVD player.

Anyways ... its a nicely done review. Indeed a good Video Player. But you cannot compare it with players like Windows Media Player 12, VLC etc.
Comparison with MP Classic may make it look good. But i bet there wont be any difference when you compare it with other players of its class, despite of SOME unique features it provides you on-the-go. (Others needs tunning from preferences)

i added some new screen shots comparing vlc against splash pro,and you are right The Default video in VLC doesn't look better then splash pro..i also tried to increase/decrease contrast,brightness,saturation etc.. in vlc but the image quality started getting even more worse but even if someone manages to make it look better, whats the use ? and how it makes vlc better? i mean we have all these options (contrast,brightness,saturation) in splash pro too. we can do the same in splash too if we need to.

bro what settings are you using, and also enabling motion+ at 60p really increase cpu utilization from 30 to almost 80% even when hardware acceleration is enabled so this feature only runs on cpu although it does look fluid.

i use bsplayer because it is really easy to use and the quality is pretty good... it downloads subtitles automatically which is the best feature i have ever seen ever in a player... also the ease of navigation is very good... other than that is crap but i am used to it... gonna try this one though...

@Pink Panther! After trying this Splash Pro player one more time, i am confident to say this is a copy of Intervideo WinDVD Pro. Intervideo was acquired by Corel and released the same player by the name of Corel DVD Player ... and to be honest, they completely destroyed it.
Before the acquisition, the Intervideo WinDVD Pro was one of the best and Optimized players out there, and it had same features as this one.

But this ... i am openly accepting that this player i.e. Splash Pro (Ex) is an Improved and Innovated copy of that Intervideo WinDVD ... adding more juice to some great existing features and the Most Important of them all ... EASE OF USE.
Yup ... i dare say this openly this player is beating this shit out of every other player out there in EASE OF USE.
Plus, its optimzed so good, it wont let you feel for a second you are using such awesome UI for a player of This class.

Eventhough it does not have "Deep" settings to cover every small element, but to keep things simple, they stick to Basic yet Advanced featuring system.

It'll take time for this player to take the places of people's PRIMARY Media Player (it requires some more features addition and even more simple settings system), but it does its job wonderful.

As for comparing this with VLC, i wouldn't comment on that since i've already declared this player a winner in Ease of Use, and thats where VLC might not keep up because it takes some understanding to adjust the settings to get the best movie experience. Also, VLC lacks features like iMotion and Detail Boost, which may attract some users.

The best of all ... i have no words for your efforts you put in this review. Its just splendid.

I tried this Splash pro ex but it use lots of memory as compare to other movie/video players, even i am not using any imotion, detail boost and audio boost features.

its not like it use GB's of ram ...for a quality playback of an HD video 200-300 MB ram usage is pretty normal i think...
check the total ram usage in the image below...media player classic + splash pro + windows vista and lots of other application running in the background and total ram used is only 821 MB ...
