Slower loads, worse texture streaming with some assets simply not loading to PS5 level, missing transparencies.


There are missing transparency effects present on PS5, but absent on the maxed PC experience

texture loading issues, where the PS5-grade asset simply never loaded on the PC game. There are ray tracing consistency problems where the maxed experience can have some areas that are of a lower quality than PS5
the portal transition process does indeed complete more quickly on PlayStation 5 than it does on the most high-end PC around.
All of these issues give the impression that - once again - a PC port has launched when it's not in a fully polished state.

I played it today on a mobile 3080ti with reasonable settings RT enabled on medium/high with reasonable frame rates averaging 75fps on 1080p and the game looked fantastic already. The session ended with a crash unfortunately and there were two instances when the game got stuck during the cut scenes as the screen became unresponsive then all of a sudden got back into action. Its a few patches away from being fully enjoyable but still its a much better experience compared to some other recent PC launches

Their experience is based on the top of the line available hardware, so I trust it more than that of random individuals on an internet forum with PCs.
Nobody said not to trust them. But it needs a special kind of brain (NefariousTiger lmao) to suggest that everyone must be having the same bugs as well, or that if the "top of the line hardware" encounters it, then lower specs must too 🤦‍♂️

Glad to put that theory in the gutter. Though who are we kidding. CerebralTiger never learns and never will :LOL:

Nowhere did I suggest that it was twice. A spike from 16.67 ms to 50 ms vs to 70 ms is distinguishable, as John also pointed it out as an additional pause and Alex also calls it less smooth. They noticed it and so did I 🤜

So? There are lots of people encountering issues online in games that you claim to not have encountered even once (Brooooketurnal, Rift Apart). Same logic applies here 🤜 I'm literally playing the game and the textures are loading fine. Others on twitter are presenting their proof as well. SSD itself ki throughput ka tou issue tha bhi nahi. Even the PS5 was tested with a drive that's slower than the internal SSD, and Ratchet ran fine.
