Ptcl website registration woes!!!

Well i wanted to switch from my worldcall connection to PTCL 2mb student package which would cost me around Rs. 1400. But ive been trying hard to register but in vain..........

First of all....using FIREFOX (latest), it jus doesnt allow me to even put my phone number properly in the first stage of registration.....It just blanks out the area code area.

Then wen i try using INTERNET EXPLORER 7, it does allow me to type the area code.....but at the next screen, wenever i try to write my University roll number and clock on anything else, a popup appears saying that "u must enter atleast one digit as roll number" WTFFFF

Then i tried calling the PTCL helpline 0800-80800 ......there is a recorded message and after that no operator picks up.....(Tried several times).....WTDF (DOUBLE FCUK)

And ive been trying to do this for the past two days....... it jus sucks big time.....IS THIS THE LEVEL OF SERVICE I SHOULD EXPECT FROM THE SO MUCH HYPED UP PTCL BROADBAND IN THE FUTURE AS WELL????? OR CAN SUM BDY PROVIDE ME WID A SOLUTION???

It's better you go to the customer services center and ask the guy to register for you.

I had no probs when i registered for 512k DSL. I just called at 0800-80800 and the guy came after 4 days and installed the modem

I had this problem too...Try clearing your browsers history and cache...That might work...Or try it on google's CHROME browser...

well i had my ptcl connection 2 weeeks ago its also a student package. i didnt had any problems like urs but i had to apply to online registration twice because of the database had some problems then.

dude u r the one who is doing things wrong, u need to fill all the boxes with an * i.e ur student reg # at ur institute, then ask ur college's broadband admin to fwd ur app to ptcl, then call 0800 80800 to confirm ur order...its that simple

P.S : Do it in IE7

I was doing everything right....except for 1 thing........They require u to enter ure roll number in "Alpha Numeric" form. Not just in Numeric.....NOW how the HELL am i supposed to know that when they havent mentioned it anywhere!!!!! Now i have been able to successfully register BUT.......FCUK! Ill always hate PTCL for this shit The only reason im switching from PTCL is that im paying Rs. 1400 to WC for a 512kb connection when i can get a 2mb from PTCL for the same amount

Well I got a Student Package 2mb connection with out even having to register at ptcl website...

Rafey Ahmed, may i reminde u that ptcl's customer support sucks like hell,

I confirmed my order on 1st April, they said they'll install it in 7 days and guess wat...no response from ptcl & its been 2 whole weeks

they told me that they have a phone line problem so they'll fix it first...so goodluck buddy

Ummmm......mine got installed the next day ........BUT THE PAIN OF IT(INSTALLATION)........................arghhhhhhhhh....thats a completely different story!!!!!!!!! Dont feel like sharing it!!!!!!!!

Damnit it man ! THats the exact issue i have aswell ! Worldcall is just ripping us off reaaalllllyyyy baaadddd @ !!! Worst of all, their crappy net sucks ! Any idea when worldcall is gonna upgrade aswell ?

PTCL walay sab say baray Abuses will lead to bany hain, main nay December ka apply kia hua hai new line or DSL student package kay liay but naver heard from em any word. when i called em they told me that order is cancelled and didn't tell the reason. WTF. operators dont know what to check and what to tell. bas Abuses will lead to banan bithai hui hain. pata nai company kholi ya khokha khola hai???

I had all the problems you're facing while applying for the student package.
I applied 5 times. Every time they told me something was wrong.
In the end I applied for the normal package. It was installed the next day. :s
